Hang On Melters - Wednesday

Good morning, everyone. I really want to apologize for my lack of personals lately. I have been really overwhelmed by a number of things and don’t want to bring y’all down where I am residing. This morning I am taking Colin for his learner’s permit test. Oh my word, I am so NOT ready for this stage. The traffic around here is deplorable and I couldn’t fall asleep last night because I was trying to figure out where I could take him to learn! Yikes, I am in trouble! Emma thinks it is awesome and has been negotiating the terms of holding him on retainer when he turns 16.

Deb—I am so glad you are figuring things out around here. I was getting really confused, but spent sometime last night fooling around with the features and now feel a bit better about it all. Good luck with the mouse hunting!

Robin—Any news on the bacteria? You have such an interesting job! I am sorry about the sleep issues. It sounds like you need a vacation—to the beach!

Shelley—Hey there! Good job on the run last night! Are you feeling any better? I was happy to see Limecat back!

Peggie—Sorry that Tayler is still feeling yucky. I meant to tell you—I took 2 kettlebells with me on vacation and they were great to have. I didn’t need much space to use them and just modified the number of reps to match the weights I brought. I even ended up with DOMS. They worked well for abs too! Are you looking forward to going to the convention?

Shannon—Do CC8!!! I did CC7 on the treadmill for the 1st time this week and boy, was it hard. Fun, but HARD! Sean is so awesome. I hope work is calm today.

Kristi—You are so good about volunteering. That is wonderful! Sorry about the lack of sleep. I am nervous about the RT and still have a couple of weeks to go! Good luck getting everything done today.

Allison—It sounds as though you have a real gift for relating to people from other cultures. International business sounds so interesting. I really think you should consider the opportunity. It could change you life—for the better!

Tneah—Ugh, about AF! That sucks! I hope it ends soon. Whap DH upside the head for me, OK? He should have given you a hug and a steak, not a lecture. Men! I am sending you a big (((HUG))) though! I hope you get that workout in!

Judy—Hi there! It is nice to see you here!

Lainie—Sorry about the fatigue. A rest day sounds like a good idea. I hope they fix the bugs with the nutrition program soon. I am very intrigued by it!

Hi to Leanne! And BG!

Colin’s waiting, so must scoot! Oh, I did an iClimb on the elliptical, CC3 on the bike, and some Eion yoga this morning.

Hi Kara! :) I'm sorry you've been feeling so overwhelmed. ((((HUGS)))) to you. Good luck with the whole learner's permit thing. eek!!! ;)

Good morning, lovely ladies!

Slept in until almost 7:00 this morning, which was nice. Today is our anniversary, so I think we're going to go out for Italian tonight, and I will definitely be treating myself to a nice glass of wine, even though my eating has been awful these past few days. I've been stuffing myself, and am not sure why.

Yes, I think we need some serious pita chip intervention! I ate almost an entire bag of pita chips in the last two days -- by myself! I tossed the rest in the trash today!

I have my AOS Newport kettlebell workout scheduled for today, but I may do some cardio since my obliques are really sore from my Dove workout the other day, and there's a lot of ab work in Newport. So I might skip my rest day tomorrow and do Newport then.

Shelley -- WTG on yesterday's run! It sounds like you also needed some rest time this morning. Don't sweat the eating, lovely gazelle, b/c you'll get back on track soon.

Robin -- Sorry that you had another bad night of sleep! I just read your post from yesterday about the Mystery Bug., How scary! I hope that it alll gets figured out soon. Enjoy your hair appointment today!

Breckie -- Where are you, babe? Is everything alright? We missed you yesterday!! Please check in and let us know you're alright!

Kara --OMG!! It is so wonderful to see your lovely face!! You are soooo beautiful!! ETA: We were posting at the same time, so I came back to say "hi." Please don't feel bad about not having time for personals -- you've had so much going on, and now you have Colin's learner permit on top of everything! I hope that all goes well with it, and with teaching him how to drive! Fingers crossed for you!!

Deb -- Glad you got some extra sleep! Sounds like you needed it! Now if only that mousy issue can get sorted out!

Judy -- It's great to see you! How have you been?

Peggie -- Glad that Tayler is feeling a teensy bit better. Sounds like you needed the rest, too! That is so cool that the KB woman emailed you and sent you that workout! How incredibly sweet! Hope that today doesn't involve a lot of . . . semen . . . at work!

Shannon -- Glad that things are picking up at work! So I have a sneaking suspicion that today will be CC 8!;) When does your new car come in? Not too much longer, I bet!

Kristi -- Please, please don't worry about not having much time to check in, although we certainly will miss you again today! Try to take some deep breaths, and think of how much fun you'll have at the RT! Let us know if you need to bounce some packing ideas off of us, OK? {{{HUGS}}}!

Allison -- Glad you ended up having a nice time at dinner last night! So if you moved abroad, you could always take your Boy Toy with you! ;) Like Shelley said, six months abroad sounds like a wonderful opportunity, and you really should think about it seriously! My DH (boyfriend at the time) and I survived me living in France for nine months -- and we actually got engaged in Paris while I was there!

Lainie -- Yes, we were cross-posting this morning! I've got to check out this Doctor Who show -- it sounds cute! You poor thing with the tiredness! Robin, of course, would know way more about this, but it could also be your elevated strep levels that are making you tired. You've also been working out really hard lately, and that can take its toll, too. I always find that when I'm doing S&H, I get really, really tired. How frustrating that the Nutrition Planner lost your stuff!

Tneah -- Oh, I'm worried about you and AF! Wasn't she just here this past weekend? That doesn't sound good, sweetie! When is that Dr. appointment coming up? Can you maybe try to get in sooner since this sounds like it needs some resolving? Sheesh . . . all your boat cleaning is making me tired! Shall I come and help you organize stuff?

Emily!!! -- It's so great to see you again! How have you been? Is your boss being better today? Hope so!

Oh golly gosh! We just heard from the state lab. Mr Suspectednastybug IS Mr Nastybug. Here's a link about the bug for those of you interested:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brucella
Note halfway down the page where it says laboratory acquired Brucellosis is common. Also note the 3 week regime of antibiotic therapy! Yikes!

Sorry, but I haven't had time to see what's going on ^^^, or should I say VVV. I'll be back later. Just wanted to share the exciting news. Oh, we're all buzzing....

Hey

Me again. Tayler is still sick, blowing out big globs of snot and now coughing like crazy. She got up at 10, I gave her a Vitamin C packet drink and she went back to bed. She seems better than yesterday, and should be good to go tomorrow, I hope, because I need to get back to work.

Leanne- I am so sore from that kettlebell workout. But it feels great. My lats and upper shoulders especially. My butt is a little, but not bad. Happy anniversary. :D How many years? Mmmmm Italian sounds good.

Allie - you must be quite impressive, but you know, we all know that already. Take your time making your decision.

Tneah - F@#% AF. Don't you get sick of her? I did get a collateral duty at work. Being on the evidence response team. Hence the word of the day yesterday --Semen. You can call me Peggie Sue. I have gotten that all my life. Actually my middle name is Ann, but a lot of people call me Peggie Sue or just Peg.

Kara - I think I will end up taking my kettlebell to Minneapolis and then making up my own workouts. Not too hard to get weights and cardio in at the same time with that thing.

Breckie, come out and plaaaaay-yay. Where are you kitten?

Shelley - your times are not slow. Very good job.

Robin - Those bugs are scary, very scary. Be careful.

Shannon - echoing Leanne, when do you get your new car?

Lainie - Why are you so tired girl. I find that I have to log out of the forums, then click on the wm, log in and then I am good to go on the wm and the nutrition stuff. Kind of a pain though. At least they fixed the forum problem.

Krisit - Wow, you have been busy. Have fun at the RT. Cannot wait to hear all the details when you RTers get back.

Hi Emily and Judy.

I think I am going to do Kick Max today and might add in Tony's One-on-One Plyo legs, unless of course I am dead from Kick Max.

BBL:eek:

Thanks for all the advice on the whole living abroad thing, guys. But I'm really not all that interested. Of course it wouldn't happen until 2010 so who knows how I'll feel by then. All I know is right now I have way too much going on and no interest in living abroad. :(

Oh and Robin--what's this about Mr. Nastybug? WTH did I miss? It sounds gross but oh-so-very exciting for all you science dorks! Just kidding. ;)

Robin!! -- Oh no! That sounds so scary! So are they going to start you all on that antibiotic therapy ASAP? Keep us posted as you find out more, OK??

Deb -- I forgot to mention that your humidity post reminded me of that hair product Biosilk. Have you heard of it before? I picked up a bottle at Costco last month, and it does wonders for keeping the frizzies away! I know you like Makeup Alley, too, so check out reviews there to see if it sounds like it would work for you!

Peggie -- Oh, poor Tayler! So you stayed home with her again today? I hope she feels better soon! Those sinus infections are awful! Does she get them a lot? I used to get one or two a year, but they've gotten much better. One thing I swear by is nasal washing. It sounds really gross, but it works to flush out allergens. Here's the one I use: http://www.nasopure.com/. I bought it from here a few years ago:
http://www.natlallergy.com/product....d=CJWJ5POt1pQCFSQdagodNnavlg&bhcd2=1216828070.

Oh, Peggie, your DOMS are really tempting me to get that KB workout! You know how I love DOMS!;) It's our 14th anniversary this year, and we actually started going out 19 years ago this summer. Weird how quickly it goes!

Kristi - hang in there. Things will slow down. And when they do, you need to get CC 8!!

Allie - I'm a homebody, so I think living overseas might be a bit intimidating. But I still think you should try it! What a great opportunity! How much would the company pay for in relocation fees, etc? And I'm going to tell you too - TRY CC 8!!!!

Good grief, ladies. You have no idea what you're missing out on! :D

Tneah - just send the pita chips here, please. The Hunger has hit again, and I'll take any food anybody offers. You need to slap DH around a bit when he starts in on you. :p Maybe one of these days he'll get bored with it.

Lanie - for being so tired, you sure did manage to write a novel! :D I had some trouble with the workout manager yesterday too. Maybe it's fixed now...

Kara - no worries on the lack of personals. We all know you've been really busy!

Leanne - Happy Anniversary!!!! Have a great day! My car won't be in for a few more weeks. :( I want to drive it now.... but oh well.

Robin - who has the super nasty bug? What did I miss????

I think Shannon should be the official poster child for CC Vol 8. :p

It is true, though, it's an AWESOME workout and everyone should have it.

Leanne - happy anniversary!!! Enjoy that tasty food and wine! Thanks for asking about work. It wasn't my boss who was being an arse, thankfully. It was a coworker. A know-it-all, uber-irritating, thinks-he's-god's-gift-to-engineering, grumble-grumble, #&%*($^ coworker. He's still being a git, but I've managed to calm myself down significantly. ;)

Peggie, I hope Tayler feels better soon!

Robin, that's crazy about the crazy bacteria. CRAZY!!! Get thee some antibiotics STAT!

Well thank heavens - it's finally lunch time. Time to go feed my growling stomach!

Leanne, congrats darling! WOW. 19 years is a long arse time, how do you do it? Wigs?;)You know how I adore "wig nights!".heehee. Heck no girl, I would not wish the boat cleaning on anyone. We are actually paying the captains wife to clean, but she mentioned to her husband that I volunteered to help her do it, which I did not! I actually told her how grateful I was to have her help....that got all twisted into me helping her do the big clean on Sunday, so now there is no way out of it, it kinda pisses me off cause we are paying her, but I am still getting stuck with it. Does that sound like I am being a total diva? Hope not, I am just tired, have been taking care of everything since we got here, by myself. But it was awfully nice of you, you are a doll.

It's official! Pita chips reign. The true test? Georgie begs me for them now, he loved them! Its so funny watching him crunch them up and slobber all over eating them. Those darn evil things.

Emily, glad to see you darlin', enjoy that lunch.

Shannon, *tosses pita chips* please take them!

Robin, that sounds freakin' scary! Please be careful!

Allison, okay, so you have awhile to think about it, cool. You might change your mind...not pushing something you don't want though...

Peggy, you are so cute taking your kettlebell along on your trip. Good idea though.

Kara, I agree, and hug and a steak would have been much nicer, the big old oaf. You look like Miranda, did I tell you that already? So purty.

Okay, I am gone, I still haven't left to the gym yet, am dawdling around, fantasizing about NOT working out today....did I miss Lainie bugs post?

Tneah, I haven't tried the pita chips yet. Is there a specific brand or flavor? I probably shouldn't go looking for yet another snack food that I can't resist. Don't worry, we will all probably be taking some kind of antibiotic. That sucks about the boat cleaning. Maybe you can sneakily suggest that you pay the woman less, since you are doing all her work. Then maybe she'll decide to do her job, or you'll save some moolah to put towards the new HOUSE sized boat.

Emily, I can't believe it's RT time already! There hasn't seemed to be as much hysteria this time around. Maybe that's due to the seperate forum. But even when I check there, it seems kind of quiet.

Shannon, the nasty bug was sent to us by a smaller lab in the area. They isolated it from a patient's blood, but couldn't identify it. Thank goodness my supervisor is a Microbiological genius. It's not a common bacteria and none of the rest of us even thought of it as a possibility.

Leanne, happy anniversary! Is your BIL still in a snit?

Peggie, sorry to hear Tayler is still snotty. DH has a tendency to get sinus infections and he calls the doctor as soon as he gets the tell tale headache. In fact, he's on meds for one right now. He must have caught it early enough, because he's pretty snotless. He has a cough from the drainage though.

Allie, I'm not sure how I feel about being called a science dork. I prefer science diva. I have to agree with Shelley about your chance to live abroad. But I can understand if it's not your thing too.

We still haven't gotten any word on what meds we all need. I was hoping to leave early tomorrow to get on the road to New Jersey. I hope we hear before then. I'd hate to infect the Road Trip! (Don't worry - the bug isn't passed person to person.)

Do those pita chips happen to be Stacy's brand. If so, I absolutely love the sugar cinnamon ones. I might have to go find some of those tomorrow.

Okay, look at me go. I'm going to go work out now.

bbl:cool:

Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been MIA. Just spending a lot of time in my brain lately…

Yesterday was iTread + Tush. LOVE the music in that one. I run fast (for me, not like Shelley). I probably am one of “those” people who look like they shouldn’t run… like every step may in fact, be a miracle that it didn’t end in complete disaster. Nevertheless, I run.

This morning ended up being CouchMax. I literally got up at 4, donned the workout garb, walked out of our room and headed toward the workout room. On the way, somehow ended up on the couch watching an old episode of Roseanne. WTH? Just couldn’t do it. Something is wrong with me. I have been known to be a workout-a-holic, the workout queen, the push-it-to-the-limit girl. But the past 6 months? Slothsville. That’s why I’m looking forward to Mr. Trainerman – I’ll have pretty much little choice in the matter. By the by, I start Aug 4th. He can’t give me his full attention until then, because he’s so involved in some shows right now. Ms. Tneah says that I want his full attention.

Now for some watered down personals (sorry – just don’t have enough time on the van today to read alllll of it – I’ll do better later)

Hey Robin – what do you know about acinetobacter? We refused a study on a patient that had it today – we couldn’t risk them coming on board and then going to the next stop (we treat quite medically fragile patients) and risk infecting them, too. Cuz doesn’t that stuff live on everything? Hated to refuse, but it is what it is. WOW – just read about your little bacteria friend/enemy. I hate that you have to deal with that. I bet it’s cool doing what you do, though.

Shellers – you are Faaaaaaassssssssssst. I’m impressed! How are things up in Canada??

Allison – NOW HEAR THIS. TAKE THE OVERSEAS JOB. What an amazing opportunity! Seriously consider that. Oh, just got to the part about you not being interested! Sorry. I’ve been buggin DH to move my arse to Italy, so I’d be all over it.

Kara – Hey lady! A kid with a permit? YIKES! Now your heart is driving around in a car, huh?

Hi Emily! Good to see you in here!! Is that a foil hat you’re sporting in your avatar? I love the name Evily!

Hi Twin Lainie - hope the tiredness goes away. Your weekend retreat sounds wonderful! I hope you can rest and recharge. Loved the outfit, BTW. Cute! I bet you look fabo in it.

Kristi – You really ARE the volunteer queen. Have fun packing for the RT, and we can’t wait to hear about it and see pictures! Travel safe.

Leanne – you are a doll. Thanks for worrying about me – too sweet. But I’m okay (mostly). Just in a funk really. But I’ll get over it. Happy Anniversary to you!!!!! This year for DH and I will be 11 married years. We’ve been together since ’93 though. What are y’all going to do to celebrate? Er… that you can write us about??? (here I would put a devil smiley)

Hi Peggie kitten – Love hearing about your job – so cool. How’s Tayler doing? Thanks for missin me. Stacey’s pita chips are the BEST. I like the Naked ones. And you have to get the big-ol lumberjack sized bag to REALLY get the good chips. The smaller more dainty bags have the skinny weensy chips in them. The industrial sized bags contain the blessed thicker, saltier, buttery-er chips. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Deb- did you find the mouse yet? YIKES. That would freak me out. So which iTrains do you have that you love the most?

Shannon – love your avatar!

STOP IT YOU ENABLERS WITH YOUR CC8 TALK. (starts pulling up the CC website…)

Tneah – I will come help you clean! Then I can have a pita chip as a reward. Wait, no I can’t. D*mn these braces. Thanks for your concern and for being so available and honest with the Mr Trainerman stuff. I’ll need all the help I can get.

Later tater tots- BBL to catch back up.

Hello!

I just got home. I took a loverly half day today at work and went straight to the salon to get my toes and fingers done. :D Ahhhh....I actually almost fell asleep when the chick was massaging my feet. Dang, I love pedicures. Then I ran a couple errands and now I'm back. I am so stinkin' excited for the RT I can't even contain myself!! This is the only "vacation" I'll be taking this summer (yep, two days off of work to go to Jersey...hmmmm...) so I figured I could splurge a little and get my nails done!

BG--so good to see you! I'm sorry you're in a funk. I haven't been working out as much lately either. Weird. How was iTread n Tush? I reeeaaalllyyy want to get that one!

Shannon--I adore your avatar! I sooooo wish I could click on it to make it bigger though so I could see you closer-up!

Tneah--I completely understand the pickle you're in with the boat cleaning lady and helping her. I would probably end up helping her and paying her the same amount I usually pay. I'm scared to stand up to people. I don't want to get in a fight or have people think less of me. :( I have issues, I know....

Robin--hey there Science Diva. I like that better too. ;) Tell me more about this exciting germ or bug or infection or disease or whatever it is....

Shelley--holy fast running, woman! 4 miles in 37 minutes! WOW! Nice work! Man oh man I wish you were coming to the RT....(insert sad smilie right now).

My smilie limit is up and I'm annoyed. WTH???!?!? I am going to PERSONALLY bitch to Cathe about the smilie issue this weekend....hehe

If y'all wanna see Shannon closer up, go to my picturetrail. www.picturetrail.com/allwildgirl

There are some pics of her visit with me on there! I think there are pics of me and Robin too. And me and Evily.

I would like to apologize for my complete lack of personals lately. I just honestly am doing the best I can trying to get in here and say hi every day and make my stupid little comments every now and then. I'll try to get back to my normal (yeah, right) self soon.:(

Hey ladies,

Just got done doing my workout. I ended up doing the double step from 4DS -- so much fun! So while I was making my shake, MIL called and left a message on our machine that she and FIL are out running errands in the area and wanted to stop by. I heard the tail end of the message, but didn't pick it up. Is that bad of me?? I mean, it's our anniversary, and the only bit of private time (wink wink, nudge nudge) we'll have is this afternoon, as soon as I wake DH up. I think his brother is coming home at his usual time, even though DH told him to go see a movie.

Breckie -- Sending you {{{HUGS}}}, babe! I'm so sorry that you're in a workout rut. Do you think you've been pushing yourself too hard lately? Maybe you need a little downtime before starting with Mr. Trainer in Aug. That program is going to be super intense, so perhaps easier workouts and more rest days would be a nice break for you! Now when is your anniversary? Eleven years is awesome!

Tneah -- Well, technically the anniversary is just 14 years. :) I haven't gone the wig route yet, but should consider it. I'm bummed b/c I ordered something sexay to wear from Figleaves last week, and it'll arrive tomorrow. I should come kidnap you on Sunday so you don't get pulled into that cleaning. That just pisses me off that she's taking advantage of you like that! What if we made plans on Sunday and you're not there? You could say that something unexpected came up. I'm serious!!! Tell her that a friend has an emergency and you have to help with it; she doesn't need to know that the "emergency" is lunch and shopping or maybe a kettlebell class!;)

Peggie -- The Stacey's brand of pita chips are really good! I've been getting the Reduced Guilt French Onion ones from Trader Joe's -- they're better than the regular fat ones! I should bring some for us all to share on the RT! After all, we'll be working out a ton, right? ;-)

Robin -- Glad that this bug shouldn't affect how you feel and that you'll be fine to head to the RT this weekend! BIL is out of his snit, but I don't think he's ever leaving. As of tomorrow, he'll have been here four weeks and has not even started really looking for his own place. :(

Emily -- Sorry that the co-worker is such a *%$&! That just sucks when you work with people that are such *%$&'s! Got any cookies to share today? ;)

Allie -- Hooray for your half-day and getting your nails done! I told DH yesterday that it was a good thing that I'm going on the RT this year or I'd be especially resentful about our summer vacation plans being ruined by BIL this year. You'll have such a blast this weekend!

Shelley -- How about vegetarian steak? ;-) ETA: We were posting at the same time. I'm so sorry that you're in such a funk still! You know we all love you!!! Thanks for posting those photos, but I can't make the photo of Shannon larger. OK, and there is one photo of you in a cropped tank striking a pose that is just amazing! Look at your arms and abs! Sexay!!!
