what is the best hair straightening product you have used? I have wavy hair that I straighten, and have a drugstore's worth of products, always looking for something "better".

I absolutely love Redken's Align (#12) straightening balm. I have used a lot of products, but this one is the best IMO.

edited for spelling:)

Another vote for Redken Align. Good stuff - it does a nice job for straightening, but also for getting short hairstyles to "spike" - it's a very versatile product. Smells nice too! :)

I've been using a product called Phytodefrisant. I usually either buy it a Sephora or drugstore.com. Nordstrom sells it as well. It's expensive, but really helps. I have naturally curly hair, and if I want to blow it out straight I put this on before I start drying my hair.

Where can I find Redken align balm, my hair is wavy too and im constantaly looking for newer and better products.

IMO Phyto makes some of the best products for curly hair. My preference is the Phytospecific Beauty Styling Creme. It's the best stuff for frizz I've ever used.

Thanks for the suggestions... I have both the Redken align 12 and the Phyto. I like the Redken better at least for me. I thought the Phyto was overrated and too expensive.( $22 for 3 oz!) That said, my favorite is still a one I get at Rite Aid for $1.99 sample size, Umberto Giannini Blow Dry Smoothing cream. Still works the best out of all I have tried. I am a hopeless hair product junkie!
