I hear a lot a good comments about Gym styles and am thinking of buying it because of the good reviwews. But, I'm wondering what type of workout is it exactly and how is it different from, for example, MM, the Pyramids or ME?

GS is a 3 day split. You lift as heavy as you can within the 12 repetition range for 3 sets. MM, the Pyramids, and ME are more endurance based workout. MM is slightly heavier than the other 2 though and is one of my favorite full body workouts. GS is broken down like this:
Day 1) Chest & Triceps
Day 2) Legs
Day 3) Back, biceps, and shoulders
You perform about 3 different exercises for each muscle so you completely exhaust it during the workout. These are great!!!!
 
The Gym Styles series is the best $75 I have ever spent on a fitness related purchase, hands down. Well, maybe second to The Step.

Gym Styles is a 3 day split, and each workout is about an hour. So instead of hitting all the muscles in about an hour, you are concentrating on one, two, or three muscle groups.

Also, Gym Styles has a strength building focus, rather than muscular endurance.

BUY THEM! You will NOT regret it!!
 
All the Gym Styles videos were my most recent Cathe purchase, and I love them. They make Muscle Max seem like peanuts! Instead of doing one set or two sets per muscle group, you do several, each from slightly different angles. Even doing the timesavers gives you great workouts! Highly recommended.
 
I love the gym styles too. They are my favorites and as a previous poster said, the best $$$ I have spent. At a close second is the pyramids.
