Gym Styles - one day upper body

What is the best way to combine Gym Styles to get a one day upper body workout? I'd like to keep the band work in and I need to keep it close to one hour.

TIA,

Lauren

Hi, Lauren. You could use the Timesaver Premixes. The timesaver premix for GS Back, Shoulder & Biceps is 36 minutes and for GS Chest & Triceps it is 32 minutes. If you eliminate the warm up and cool down of either premix, you should clock in at less than an hour. HTH

Yes, the timesavers include the band work. I just did this very thing on Thursday (timesavers of both upper body workouts done together - BTW, it clocks in at around 62 minutes doing C/T first, without the ending stretch and then BSB without the warm-up). What is deleted is one set of every exercise. In other words, if the original workout includes 3 sets, the timesaver includes 2. If the original includes 2 sets, the timesaver includes 1. BUT all band work remains. Oh, and the timesavers includes half of the push-ups in CT - the sets of 16, 12, 8, and 4.

Doing it "as produced" was better (I like the 3-way splits, even 4, 5, and 6-way splits), but doing the timesavers for an "all upper" heavy day was a good workout. I still got DOMS from the timesavers! It just depends on what body part split you're trying to do. Bernadette

i was also considering doing that except not using the timesaver
chest+cardio
back+cardio
legs+cardio
shoulders+cardio
bi+cardio
tri +cardio

only 30 min cardio or not at all

FitnessFreak (aka Debbie) has a rotation just like this, but she also includes, for each body part, doing that same body part from BodyMax 2 twice (except for shoulders, where she recommends only doing BM2 once). I did a 1-body-part-a-day once with just GS and didn't really feel like it worked the muscles enough, but adding on the additional 10 minutes from BM2 made a big difference.
