Hi,

What's the purpose of doing Gym Style and what kind of results should I expect from doing the gym style?

Monday: Gym Style Chest and Tris
Tuesday: Cardio (run 6 miles)
Wednesday: Gym Style (legs)
Thursday: Cardio (run 6 miles)
Friday: Gym Style Back, shoulders, and biceps
Saturday: Run 8 miles
Sunday: Rest

You may be fitter than I am, but I know I would have some trouble running 6 miles the day after doing GS Legs. It is quite an endurance workout, and your legs may be a little tired the next day.

I got on the forum to post about GS myself & found you beat me to it! LOL I started the same exact regimen today as what you posted. My cardio will be Cathe step however, not much of a runner I'm afraid. I am getting ready for July RT & am having fun "training". I can say that I have noticed a difference in the first 4 weeks I have done. I will do a regimen for 3 weeks & take 1 week rest doing lighter work w/no strength training.

Like you, I did Chest & Tris today. OMG!!! Haven't done it a while because that drop set of push-ups was amazing. Got them out no problem but by the time chest was done I had a little shake going on.

Can't wait until Wed for legs!! I'm hitting the mat @ 4:45am - I'll be thinking of you.

I started my second week of Gym Style today, I'm telling you the first week my after doing legs my calves pretty sore, but I was ok doing the running. My goal is to add some muscle, sculpt, define, and be lean. We will see what happens. Thanks for your input.

Hi there,

Same regime for me too - I've just added some ab work at the end of each run. I haven't really followed a programme in the past but with a race (and holidays) looming I really want to get in shape and see some good results. I'm only a week in and must admit I found the workouts pretty hard going and definately felt the 'shake' but really feel as if I've had a great workout!

Day after the first week on this regiman, Chest & tris yesterday. Woke up this morning w/a nice soreness in chest. Nothing terrible, just enough to know I hit it good.

I also ad abs at end - usually 1 of the CoreMax.

What is her rep scheme in Gym styles? 15, 12, 10?? I'm wondering if it's a strength building or endurance workout.
 
Mostly 3 x 12 reps with added bonus burn. Press-ups are the real killer, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6 & 4 a whopping 70 in total!
