Gym Style Legs

Mic

Cathlete
You guys have noticed how pumped up everyone looks on the hardcore series, Cathes legs even look stronger along with everyone else. Here's my question I heard that Gym Style Legs was more of an endurance based workout, with muscles like that it seems to me that Cathe had to be lifting pretty strong at some point. So has anyone experienced getting muscle tone like that by doing endurance workouts for the legs only or did you have to do some lower rep, heavy lifting?

O.k. let me shorten this question has anyone gotten great results by just doing endurance type leg workouts?

Mic...I really think it depends on the individual. I am not fortunate like Janice to have good genes for legs!! So for me, I need to do strength workouts for definition. What I have been trying for lower body lately is 2 strength and 1 endurance workout every week. So far I am getting the results I want...:)...Carole

I get to say I'm new all day so,since I'm new. :) which video is for strength. I want stenghtful looking legs. how are her videos set up.? are there more then one lesson or routine on a video? where does a beginner go to find the begining of Cathe.???

Welcome tytbody....cute name...:)...You can get a few workouts on DVD. Let me see if I can remember all the Strength ones...Pure Strength on 1 DVD. S&H on 1 DVD. Pyramids upper and lower on one DVD. Those are the ones I use for leg strength. Might not be bad to throw in a leg endurance workout like Gym Style or Legs & Glutes (those are my current favorites)...they could be a bit advanced though so click on the DVD or VHS link from this site, they have very good descriptions....:)...Carole

I see they put together some packages but how about a beginner package? Those other's are too beafy for newbie. Also, since I'm a newbie, could you'll please print out these initials so I can find what I'm looking for? I have no idea whata S&H is. I see a beginner dvd but it does not mention pure strenght. is that one unto itself? I will check the dvd list once I finish this and I might find my answer. I'm going to use some of my tip money from Massage and at least get one. :p BTW: thank you for the compliment on my name:) Also if we do these videos, we can get the leg definition you want as if I were doing leg presses? I love leg presses and leg extension, on the machines.

Hi, I think it does depend on the individual. I can only get defined legs by doing Slow and Heavy work combined with cardio. I throw a minimal amount of endurance work in. Cathe does a variety of leg work and so those nice legs you see, I am certain are not due to endurance training alone.

Good mornign,

I get the definition i'm looking for by doing 2-3 endurance workouts per week, and 1 strength workout every other week. I lift Cathe's weight or higher on all the endurance workouts. If i do too many strength workouts, my legs get too bulky. So like everyone said, it depends on the individual. :)

Pure Strength is available by itself -- it's an older workout.

As for these being "too beefy for a newbie," I say PEESHAH! Just go really light with your weight. If you think you are ready for Hardcore, then you can do any of the other workouts.

S&H is Slow & Heavy. It is a very slow & controlled workout.

If you are interested in previewing some of the older workouts check this out...

I think I have it. I am so excited. I'm going to order today probably. I see what I need to begin or can use any way, Body Fusion and High Step Circuit. I like the cardio and weights also.

What category is Body Fusion? Would that be considered = aerobic
High Step fusion also = Aerobic
Which does Cardio & Weights = Aerobic and sculpt?

Thanks guys for the response to this question I was trying to screen about how many people did have success with leg definition as far as doing endurance workouts for the legs. I think I'm going to have to include a heavier weight workout to get the definition, atleast for me. Thanks though for the information.
