Brian David Mitchell found guilty on both counts. I'm so happy for Elizabeth Smart and her family. Her testimony made all the difference in the case. She is absolutely amazing! Of course, the local media is going crazy.

I remember hearing her mother said she rides horse like a cowboy and plays the harp like an angel....I think she's the most courageous young lady, maybe the bravest I know.

Naturally, one more of this type in jail means one less of this type on the streets.

I'm afraid the cynic in me wonders: for every one that's caught, tried and found guilty how many hundreds? thousands? the world over, are still at large, especially in countries where families and the authorities simply do not have the financial resources to carry out lengthy investigations and hire expensive lawyers on behalf of all children, of course for the calibre of trials that hold CNN's attention?
