I have been reading some posts about how we "Cathe-ites" are cult-like and obsessed. As someone who constantly gushes about Cathe and her workouts, I just HAVE to jump in and defend my perspective.
Just yesterday, my 5-month-old baby boy had surgery. Nothing terribly serious, but surgery none-the-less and I was sick with worry. After being in the hospital from early, early morning to late afternoon, I was emotionally and physically SPENT.
After I got home and settled my son in his crib, I worked out with Cathe (L&G's to be precise). Everything changed. My outlook improved, my mood was elevated, I had newfound energy and a completely positive mindset.
Cathe, as melodramatic as it may sound, is a huge part of my life. She helped me get in great shape for my wedding, get back in shape from two back-to-back pregnancies and cope with the stressful moments of motherhood (like yesterday). Because of Cathe, my two-year-old already understands the importance of fitness and loves to "workout" next to me. With the scary statistics of inactivity and obesity in this country, that alone is priceless.
I am 37-years-old and in the best shape of my life, even after two babies. I've struggled with yo-yo dieting/exercising my entire adult existance, but since finding Cathe in early 2000, I've remained focused and committed. By doing Cathe's workouts regularly, I am a stronger person, a happier wife, a more patient mother and a more productive employee. I can energetically tackle the tasks of caring for two children in diapers, working full time, taking care of a husband and a home and have energy to spare. Cathe inspires me, motivates me and her positive influence has managed to trickle into every aspect of my life.
So, call me whatever you like...but in my world, Cathe deserves the cult-like following and I feel sooooooo blessed to have found her. My only hope is that she never, ever stops sharing her gift with us. Keep 'em coming Cathe!!!!!!
