Guess what?

Guess what happened while I was at work today? Yes, it snowed. More snow. So guess what I had to do when I got home?

That's right, I had to SHOVEL! Oh boy, I love shoveling. I was really hoping that the three times yesterday and digging out the end of the driveway this morning wasn't going to be it! So I was just thrilled when I got home to find I had to shovel AGAIN!

Where's Beavs with the margaritas when you need her?

Boy, I wish we had some of that! My girls and I would LOVE to go out and shovel (and play!)

At least you are getting a SUPER workout, right! :)

Mary

Shelley, how much snow did you end up getting in Hamilton? I think you guys were really going to get dumped on (more than us). In Toronto on Sunday we got 26 cm which is a one-day record for us ... we didn't call in the army this time though. :)

The city snow plow has visited our little street 3 times in the past 24 hours and DH has done lots of shoveling. We had just a bit of snow today, not much shoveling required (just at the end of the driveway where the plow left its little souvenir).

Happy shoveling. Think of the great workouts you are getting.

Stebby - yes, we get that lovely "embedded lake effect snow" in addition to everything else, which means we usually end up with more than everyone. Not sure what the grand total was but I hope this isn't an indicator of what's to come this winter!!! I have nowhere left to put snow!

Aren't you used to snow by now?? :)

You could send that extra snow this way. It snowed here for about 30 minutes Sat morning and my kids were running around talking about sledding, snowmen, snow boarding, hot chocolate, etc. Then the snow turned to rain and their dreams and visions were crushed!!! Poor things!

"Aren't you used to snow by now?? :)"

Of course I'm used to snow. But you have to agree that having 12 inches dumped in less than 12 hours is excessive by anyone's standards.

Oh, Shelley...I'm sorry, BUT, I would give anything to have five or six inches of that fluffy coldness down here. It NEVER snows in Richmond, VA anymore. We're at some weird angle on the globe that usually gets missed, no matter where the storm is coming from. Charlottesville, which is less than an hour away, will get it, but, alas, not us.

Trying to sympathize, but I WANT SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-( :-( :-(

TeTe you should move north and down wind of a lake!

Now, I admit, I don't want THAT much!!! But just a little teeny bit would be nice! That, and DH HATES cold weather. If he had his way, we'd live somewhere that never got below 80 degrees.

Shelley, if we had that much snow here the whole city would close down, my office would be closed, and I'd be home with my feet up drinking hot cocoa and watching movies. I can't believe you keep driving to work.

When is it enough snow so you can stay home already????

Nance - if that had happened on a work day, I would have stayed home. They're good about not having me risk life and limb to get to the office. But since it was a Sunday and things were fine on Monday, there were no snow days.

And then the second snow comes while you're at work. You're having the darndest luck. If you have to do all this shoveling, you should at least get a day off out of the deal. x(
