Growing Arms

Hi Cathe,

Happy new year!!. I hope your recovery is going well. I enjoy your dvds and look foward to the monthly rotations. I do have a question, i have noticed that since i have been working out with weights, my arms seem to be getting bigger. My jackets are fitting snugly in the tricep and bicep (arm) area. I also noticed the same thing with my legs; however, i continued to work out and did notice that my pants started to fit more loosely. If i continue with the weight training, cardio, and trying to eat clean, will my arms eventually shrink so my jackets will fit more loosely in the arm area? Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks:

My arms also tend to bulk up. No, I don't think your arms will shrink. Everyone bulks up in different areas. If you have any fat to lose on your arms, they may become smaller but if you are eating clean and doing cardio and your arms are getting bigger, you arms will probably get more muscular and may bulk up. If you don't want this to happen do more endurance weight workouts. It is good to mix it up. One week do moderate to heavy lifting and the next week lift lighter weights with more reps. Just my thoughts. I know it is frustrating when you are trying to become smaller in an area that is bulking up. You will start to figure out what works best for your body by trying different ways of training.
