I did Great Glutes this morning and loved it! You will need 8 lb db's, disc, mat & stability ball. You only use the chair & pink firewalker band if you do the chair bonus (which was a lot of calf work and hamstring kickbacks w/band). The warm-up was a nice change of different moves. Music was new except for one song that I love from XT Tabata. The warm-up goes right into compound legs which gets your heart rate up. I really liked the half-way up split lunges w/weights. Then on to the disc - I really loved this section. It was fun and I could really feel it. Next was the stability ball which was so tough for me. Usually the hamstring rollouts on the ball don't seem to affect me. I don't know if it was the high reps or the pattern or the sequence of moves layered in the order but these I felt right away and were tough to complete. The inner thigh is also a hard spot for me to target but again I really felt it when working this area - maybe the order of exercises, not sure but it's all good. Then it was on to floor work. This reminded me of Butts & Gutts...lots of pizza presses. It was so hard that I had to keep stopping but this is why I loved it. I'm sure Cathe & crew all have buns of steel being able to do all these reps! Nice relaxing stretch at the end. I felt a little soreness in the glutes afterwards...I can't wait to see how I feel in the next few days.
