Great Glutes review

I did Great Glutes this morning and loved it! You will need 8 lb db's, disc, mat & stability ball. You only use the chair & pink firewalker band if you do the chair bonus (which was a lot of calf work and hamstring kickbacks w/band). The warm-up was a nice change of different moves. Music was new except for one song that I love from XT Tabata. The warm-up goes right into compound legs which gets your heart rate up. I really liked the half-way up split lunges w/weights. Then on to the disc - I really loved this section. It was fun and I could really feel it. Next was the stability ball which was so tough for me. Usually the hamstring rollouts on the ball don't seem to affect me. I don't know if it was the high reps or the pattern or the sequence of moves layered in the order but these I felt right away and were tough to complete. The inner thigh is also a hard spot for me to target but again I really felt it when working this area - maybe the order of exercises, not sure but it's all good. Then it was on to floor work. This reminded me of Butts & Gutts...lots of pizza presses. It was so hard that I had to keep stopping but this is why I loved it. I'm sure Cathe & crew all have buns of steel being able to do all these reps! Nice relaxing stretch at the end. I felt a little soreness in the glutes afterwards...I can't wait to see how I feel in the next few days.

Just wait until you try lean legs and abs. I did that this morning. I cannot wait to try great glutes in a few days. I think you will really like lean legs because you really work the inner thigh too. It's been a few hours now and I'm really starting to feel it in my legs.

I was away on vacation and the DVDs were here when I got home today. This was the first one I did to 'ease' back to in to things. I loved this one and can't wait to try Flex Train tomorrow.

I'm sure they are all superb!

Did my great glutes this morning - I love the fact it hits everything - I added 5 lb ankle weights to the pizza presses - my but is talking to me which sounds dirty but it that good hurt where I envision me getting rock hard buns with those awesome indents on the side -- I like to do one really heavy leg day (like buts and guts or gs legs) and then hit them again a second time - this will be the perfect toner so I can do legs twice a week without over training. I really like the progression in this one and the sequencing really fries my behind - once again cathe has outdone herself!!
