Got my Butt Kicked

Cathlete
Just did Cathe's All Step and I am sore and tired, I have been stepping now for three months and this workout isn't as long as her other tapes, should I later do another tape workout? I am used to working out for an hour and half. I feel great though.

Hi Leslie! If you feel you worked out very hard and had a tough workout, then it is not necessary to do more later in the day. It is good for your body to vary the intensity, frequency and duration of your workouts. Variety keeps both you and your metabolism inspired:)

I do feel pretty good after that workout, I loved it!! just love these workouts they are the best I have every used, I tell everyone I know that wants to start stepping, I have used others and they just didn't do me very good, I am so happy to have almost eliminated my back pain, and have to admit my hubby loves the results LOL.
Thank you Cathe!! I won't add anymore today. I will continue to change the workout everyday, and going to buy some DVD's to workout with weights, what is the best for me to start out with?

Hi Leslie! You can pretty much start out with any weight workout as long as you use lighter weights and work your way up to heavier weights over time.

As far as preference goes, if you like doing total body weight workouts, you can do Power Hour, Maximum Intensity Strength, and Muscle Endurance.

If you like your workouts divided into upper or lower body then you can try Pyramid Upper Body/Pyramid Lower Body or CTX Upper Body and Leaner Legs.

If you like doing your workouts in splits, then you can try Pure Strength Series and Slow and Heavy Series.

If you like mixing your weights and cardio as in a circuit style workout you can try Circuit Max, Boot Camp, Cardio and Weights, or Body Max.

Have Fun!

I will give that a try, I also was wondering how long it will take for my abs and my waist line to firm up? I have just started your ab works just two weeks ago and do see some differance, I guess you can say I am anxious for those trouble areas to tone up.I also added one my doctor gave me, I lay on my bed bottom side up and have my kids or hubby sit on my legs and lay over the bed and then straighten up and hold in that position for the count of 10 and do 6 reps of that. but I must admit I have been lax on that one. Will the weight training help with toning the abs and planks?
