GOODLUCK SARAH(aka Imafitnessfreak)

Sarah, I thought your big day was October 4th!!! I'm sending fast running vibes your way, but I'm sure you won't need it. You obviously are a hard worker and I'm sure you are prepared and pumped!!! Good luck!!! Please let us know how you did.

Hi Ladies!!!!

Thanks so much for your well wishes! I actually just saw them. The marathon was in Columbus, so we had to drive there Saturday afternoon and stay the night! Anyway, so sweet of all of you to think of me!!

The day did not go as I had hoped. I ran a 3:51:05 and I was hoping for better than that. However, there are somes things you cannot control...like the weather. It was a great day, just very cold (31 at the start) and I do better in the 50's. The breeze kept it colder, too...but it never was strong enough to affect my momentum.

I didn't get any sleep the nights leading up to the marathon either...3 last night, 3 the night before and maybe 5-6 the night before that. I was hoping the adrenaline would carry me some, but not today!

Still, I FINISHED...and I have a super ugly medal that looks like a tacky coaster to prove it (I am very spoiled by the Wright Patterson Air Force Base medals). YEAH!!! I DID IT!!! Not in the time I wanted...but see my quote!

Thanks Ladies!!!!:* :* :* :* :* :* :* :*

Sarah,
Congratulations! It is amazing that with so little sleep and the weather that you still finished and in my opinion a great time. You are always inspiring and I hope you feel great about your accomplishment.

Susan

Sarah,

You are awesome! 3:51 is a terrific time!!! Look at it this way - 66% of the people who also ran that marathon were BEHIND you!!
