Good, thorough stretching dvd...

There is one coming out in the new series!! That is the one I truly can't wait for...call me silly, but I am dying for the stretching dvd!!

Hi Wendy!

I haven't tried it, but I've heard good things about Karen Voights stretching tape (forget the name, but she only has one pure stretching tape, about 30 minutes or so in length). I was thinking of ordering it myself too, but I think I'll wait for Stretch Max before getting anything else... I'm interested to hear other suggestions too, though.

Have a good Sunday,

Maria

There is one by Michelle Lamay (Lemay spelling?)that I have been oh so tempted to get. I don't remember the name of it but if you do a search for Michelle you will likely find it. I know Wayne has bought it. If he reads this thread maybe he will comment. The reason I am so interested in this one is tghat it has fluid dynamic stretching in addition to static stretching and is based on dancers stretches. I think I just talked myself into going on line and purcahsing.

Great Gals...thanks for the suggestions.

I think I will have to do some shopping today!

I was shying away from Cathe's new stretch program. One of the stretches is an athletic stretch which is fine. But one is yoga-based which I have only tried once (from leisa hart's fit mamma prenatal work out) and it hurt my back (?) so I'm afraid to try it again. Then the 3rd uses a stability ball which I do not have at the moment. I think I am going to ask for one for my B'day but that means waiting until the end of April for it...

So Cathy, did you buy that stretch tape??

Have a great work out!
~Wendy~

Cathe's new stretch dvd will be three 20 minute segments. Scroll back to about page 3 or 4 and there is a thread marked Strech Max . Details.

Hi Wendy!!

I LOVE Janis Saffell's "Dynamic stretch". You can either do standing or floor stretches. The dvd is only 30 min. Tamilee Webb's Flexibilty stretch is good too and it's also around 30 min.

Aila:)

The 2 Tamilee Webb stetching workouts are good. One is 30 minutes, the other is 3 10 minute stretches (standing, seated & floor). I think the DVD has both workouts. Ignore the beginner title - it's stretching.

I recommend them over Voight's Pure & Simple Stretch which is about 40 minutes. It's good but she is like a zombie. The yoga stretching on her newer DVD's is much better & she's much more personable. The Sunday stretch on "Sleek Physique" is worth the price of the DVD.

Scott Cole's Millenium stretch is the gold standard, but it's an hour.

Can hardly wait for Cathe's DVD. I love stretching on the stability ball.
