Good sources for low priced Exercise clothes?

Hi y'all,

I need help finding places to buy exercise clothing at a reasonable price. I usually check out TJ Maxx & Marshalls but the selection in size M is usually limited.

I HATE to pay $40 for a pair of pants or an exercise bra, but I have noticed that the quality of the lower priced clothing just doesn't cut it. So, I'm looking for the high quality name brands at a discount! Any recs?

Thanks!:)

Target! They carry the Champion line that has a ton of pieces that are great for working out! I stay away from all cotton in my workout gear and that usually jacks up the price. Champion makes a ton of items at very good prices with no cotton. Tops, shorts, pants, bras, undies...very good prices!

This may sound strange, but I've actually bought exercise clothes over ebay. I ordered a nike sports bra and some yoga pants and I was very happy with both of them. I was kinda scared that they were going to be used but they had their tags and looked and felt brand new. I just look up specific brands and if I'm familiar with the sizing of the brand, then I feel much better about bidding on them.

Also, Kohls has a good selection of stuff too that goes on sale. I think about once a month I get a coupon in the mail for 15% off too. They are also clearing out their winter stuff now for really cheap. At the end of the summer I got 3 pairs of nike running shorts for $3/pair. I also just got a short sleeve dry wick shirt there for $10. Have fun shopping :)

Do you have a Sports Authority near you? The one I go to has a back room with all the clearance merchandise and I have found some pants and tops and workout bras there.
Also some better then expected ones at Walmart!

well I know you said reasonable prices but I thought I would let you know that I splurged and bought a $59 (I know...gulp) pair of Bia Brazil pants from sandiegofit.com...these pants were one size fits all

and I have to say they are the best workout pants I have ever owned...they have this fabric called Supplex which allows for quick drying from sweat...and they are thicker than your average "thin" workout pant...these are what instructors wear...

I was just amazed at how well they are made and how they fit...

the only drawback is they have a 33" inseam which is great if you are not a shorty like me....but I always have problems with pants being too long..

good luck! I want to order some of the pants and tops that Cathe wears on the IMAX 3 - I love those pants and tops...

I second the Target suggestion. All of my workout pants come from there, and I think I got most of them for under $15. I've never looked at the sports bras though, I'm a D cup when not pregnant and Enell is the only bra that keeps me from getting black eyes!

I wholeheartedly agree with buying items at Target. I've found a number of quality items for a great price. I also look for sale items through Jazzercise and Pitbull clothing.

Oh, CHEEZ, YES!!! I have to stay away fro Kohl's because I always drop a lot of $$ when I pass through their doors! I also buy a lot from ebay - Nike tops and So Sporty pants are my favorites.
Just Do It! :)

Thanks for the ideas! Going to Target ASAP. I really love the dri-fit fabrics b/c the cotton stays soaking wet. Its ok to workout at home, but when I go to gym its not a pretty sight!

I also have been getting stuff at Target lately; the Champion tops are great, I think they were $7 or something.

* I also used to buy bottoms/tops at TJ Maxx/Marshalls but would find the fit or the quality to be horrible. Then I ordered my workout PANTS from Otomix (www.otomix.com) and I bought 5 pair (one for each day of the week was my strategy back then) at $60 each but then I had an online coupon for like 15% off. Let me tell you yes that is expensive but like the previous poster; SO worth it. The roll down pants are so flattering, they don't cut into your sides and create a muffin top. PLUS the fabric is so thick and durable, I have had the same pants (that I work out in EVERY DAY 6x a week mind you) for over 2 years with no sign of wear and tear.

So I buy cheap socks, tops etc. but for the pants I am stuck with Otomix. Also if you go online, sign up for their newsletter. I literally get an online email coupon for 15-20% off like every other day.

Don't you just hate when someone is catching up on the forum and brings something old back to the first page? Sorry!

I just wanted to second the Sierra Trading Post suggestion from Bobbi. I live in the town where Sierra Trading Post is located and we go there regularly because they have such great deals on cycling clothes and all other workout and outdoor clothing (and other outdoor stuff). And it's name brand stuff too.

I also like workout pants from Target. :)

I like to check out sales at www.carushka.com and www.marika.com . Carushka has few things on sale, but they are 1/2 their regular price, and very good quality.

I just go straight to the "sale rack" and see if there's anything I like, and maybe even buy more than one of the same item (especially if there are different color options.)
