<---had a very scary incident yesterday with Dakota
<---says that he got loose when <---'s parents came over and that after a long chase, he ended up in the middle of a busy street quite a ways from <---'s house
<---grabbed for him and he ran back towards the house
<---says that DH finally had to tackle him
<---says as soon as he gets a break, he runs for it and does not look back. Even if you didn't follow, he would just keep going and he always goes straight to the neighbor's farm which has a busy road on the other side of it. No treats or calling or ANYTHING will get his attention. The other two dogs are nothing like this. They come when called, but not Dakota.
<---adds that DH was traumatized for the rest of the night :( He thought his "baby" was going to get creamed on the road. The "baby" being the dog, not me!
<---says we are thinking of resorting to a shock collar for him now :(

<---had a very crazy weekend that started with a horrible, horrible Friday
<---thinks it may have been the worst.day.ever in the history of Evily
<---'s DH hurt his shoulder really bad, so <--- had to take care of him, and drive him around (he couldn't drive himself)
<---'s cat had to go the vet and the vet didn't have any good news, so <--- was frustrated over that too
<---was so glad when Friday was over
<---ran a race on Saturday morning and had a very surprising PR - must've run faster to try to run off <---'s frustrations :p
<---wasn't expecting a PR at all, since <--- has only been back to running for about a month, and only once a week at that!
<---thinks running angry is the way to go ;)
<---is sorry to be so self-absorbed
<---'s DH is feeling much better (not 100%, but way better), and <--- was able to put him on a plane so he could go to his gEEk convention this week :)
<---hopes Beth has fun getting pirate stuff for the picnic :)
