Good/Creative Ideas Anyone?

I'm hoping that one of you guys might have a good idea on how I can celebrate my 30th since I'll have a 2 week old. We were previously planning on going to Vegas with 5 other couples. Since that's now out of the question, I was trying to think of something that would still be fun, and special, but that would allow for the schedule of a newborn. I'm not opposed to having the baby with me if it will be a longer activity than leaving him/her with my in-laws will allow. Mostly, I just want to have a good time. More than anything, I still want to do Vegas, but I'll have to wait for 31 for that. I'm not a big party or surprise party person. We live in the Seattle area.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hi,
i keep trying to brainstorm as I know you need something to look foward to given the stress of this pregnancy. Unfortunately with a 2 week old, I know I was exhausted and didn't have the energy for much. I would just recommend a nice dinner or even have a dress up dinner at your home with take out from a fancy restaurant. I know this idea is mellow though. Is their anything special local to you? An amusement park or other special attraction? If there is bring another adult to help babysit while you enjoy the activities. Another idea, is there a day spa near you where you can get pampered. once again bring along a babysitter and nurse between treatments.
On a side note, you asked what i like to shop for, clothes and exercise videos. My closets are jam packed and now my daughter closet is packed with sizes up to 18 months, she is not even 6 months old. Thank goodness I am a bargain shopper and even like thrift stores. Our children may have the same birthday, Alexis was born September 12, I was due sept. 21.

Thanks for your ideas. It's so hard to settle on anything when we were looking at 4 nights in Vegas with 5 other couples. I am so bummed. I have been talking about doing this trip since I was 27. Thanks for the suggestions, though. My husband and I have considered going to a hotel, locally, for a night or two with the baby, but bringing the older 2 to his mom and dad's. I just don't even know if it would be enjoyable. It's not exactly like I'll be taking a bubble bath and drinking wine or anything. Maybe I'll just wait to celebrate until I'm 31 and go out for a nice dinner with Michael and call it good? Oooh...I'll take the money I would have spent on Vegas and put it towards post-partum pregnancy clothes. Hard to pick between that, and your suggestion of a day of beauty though. I know--I'll do a day of beauty with my sister, and my sister-in-law, and then buy myself a couple of new outfits, and then have a nice dinner with my hubby. Now I just need to make up a realistic nursing schedule to fit all of this in. Thanks for the ideas! It really helped.

I love to shop for clothes, too. I am a total bargain shopper. I love Bon Macy's. They get incredible sales. Like 50% off with an additional 30% or 40% off. It's so hard to say no when you are getting clothes for so cheap. My daughter's closet is filled to the hilt. She is 3. My son's is pathetic in comparison. Girls are just so much more fun to buy for because there are so many different options.

I have heard about this website called BlueFly.com that is supposed to have incredible deals. I haven't checked it out yet, though.

Take care.
