Good-bye Larabars!

I just tried a Weil by Nature's Path Goji Moji bar. YUM!!!

Ingredients: Organic dates, organic fig paste, organic cashews, organic dried sweetened cranberries, organic goji berries, organic orange peel, organic lemon juice concentrate, organic orange oil.

I paid $1.99 for the bar at my local health food store, but I see Amazon sells Weil bars for $24.12 for a box of 16. :D

Thanks for the review, Nancy--I had been curious about these, too! Maybe a good pre-workout snack? Mmmmm...

Hey, why not have both?

Have both of what? You mean the Weil bars and the Larabars? I never really loved Larabars. I just ate them because they were healthy and convenient. But I really LOVE the Weil bars! :)

ETA: (And of course Ame is right. I'm very all or nothing about stuff. ;))

LOL, yes I meant it as Larabars and the new ones. I thought you eventually found a Larabar flavor you enjoyed. I also remembered you enjoyed Luna Bars... but was it the processing that made you leave those? I can't even remember if you did leave them. I remember you equating them with cookies, though.

Yes, I meant that there's enough to go around, but if you only ate them because they're good for you, then it's no reason to keep them if you've found something better. I LOVE me some Larabars but have yet to try the ones you mentioned. I'll check Trader Joe's next time I'm there.

Trader Joe's around me only carries a couple kinds. Whole Foods carries more kinds, and then there's another store around that carries more.

There are 14 total!!! I just looked: www.larabar.com

Oops, my post made no sense. I meant that I love Larabars but haven't tried the Weil bars mentioned in the OP so I'm going to look for them the next time I'm at TJs.

amyg, please do not link to websites of good stuff when the user reading may be hungry. :p OMG there is a chocolate coconut? *dies*

eta; the peanut butter cookie Larabar is very, very greasy

Omigosh, Ame. Lunabars are so yummy and are such junk. I'd rather eat a bag of Lunabars than a bag of Oreos. Fortunately, my doc said I had too much iron in my blood and I traced the problem to the iron in the Lunabars. Larabars may be boring, but they are actual FOOD. Which I'm learning is what my body needs. Who knew?

The chocolate coconut isn't nearly as good as it sounds. (it's better) But I cannot stand the lemon one- it's artificial lemon which just doesn't make sense to me.

Sorry to post links to yummy sites!! Now that you mention it, though... Nance you never posted links to the new bars!!!

Nance have I told you how perfect your signature quote is?? It's perfect.

I used to get sick eating LunaBars if I had one before bootcamp in the morning-- I didn't have any other food in my stomach and their added vitamins upset my stomach!
