Girls Next Door

Does anyone watch this show on E! I am ashamed to say that I do...it's my newest guilty pleasure :)

On last night's episode, Holly was re-doing the mansion gym. At the end, she said that anything with bright colors and made out of plastic had to leave the gym so as not to make it look like a bunch of toddlers played there (by the way, she wants to have kids with Hef, so that's not exactly a kid-minded comment). The item they showed her removing was a full-size step (the one with the teal topper, and purple & fuscia risers). I was like, "what are you doing...that's the best piece of equipment in the place!!" :0

It ended up having some great equipment, but I just thought removal of the step was cruel =(

Oh, the horror!! How could they remove the ORIGINAL Step??? I haven't seen that one, yet! I love that show - so entertaining...but, then again, I am in my 30's and still watch MTV -}(

...a perfect demonstration of how stupid those three really are.

SORRY! I know you liek the show but it makes my stomach turn.

I'll take that exercise room anyday! I have to say that when I first saw the show some time ago, I absolutely could not stand it. Then I'd catch a portion of it here and there and I have grown to really like it and I'll tell ya why. Whatever their personal arrangements are is their business and I don't think about that much. The reason I'm drawn to the show is because these people have the ability (yes, because of Hef's millions) to live life and have fun. They are shown in many different environments just enjoying themselves. Perhaps because I have so many obligations right now and am not able to live the life that I'd like, I can vicariously live through some of the experiences they have. There's no negativity on the show, no back-stabbing, no depressing images (except some obvious ones;-) ) and I feel good when I watch it. Now, mind you, I do my provoked ewwwwws and yucks when appropriate :7 , but I don't dwell on that stuff when I'm watching the show. I enjoy watching people enjoying life - something that I'm looking forward to doing in the near future.

I have to agree with Bam, it a wierd way, its a very family oriented show - Hef, viagra and all, is NOT a sexual animal anymore- vitamin V only does so much (I'm a nurse and old folks have not spared me the painful to hear details of Viagra's limitations - not theirs you realize, the drug's!) - so he's kind of grandfatherly to the other two...in a Tim Burton kind of way....Kendra was a wild child with a wild child mom, and now has made investments, has some solid financial security once Hef kicks...Bridget has 2 master's degrees - although at 35 ish she really needs to kick the airhead baby routine! Holly, is also progressing to independance too. And geesh, its just plain fun to watch that show!!!

I watch it. I love it. Just makes me want to look that good in a suit..Wouldn't it be nice to have that kind of money..
I think they are hilarious. The osbornes were better.Keeping up with the Kashardigans or whatever is funny.
Bruce used to be an olympic athlete.. Blows my mind..I knew his fave looked farmiliar..

I actually got caught up in Gene Simmons - The Family Jewels . . . I find it really interesting that he is really kind of a "fuddy duddy". Growing up, my brother was a Kiss fanatic. Had the Gene Simmons action figure doll and everything. Can't beat light-hearted, non-thinking television for a break from the stresses of the day.

I love Girls Next Door, it's hilarious. I also own one of the original Steps in teal, with purple and fuscia risers. I purchased it in 1989. Holly shouldn't have tossed it out, it will be a collector's item someday ;-)

i have to admit to watching. i got caught up in it one sunday afternoon and then started watching. it's pretty amusing. i really don't think (and hope not) that hef is sleeping with anyone but holly. i think the rest is just for the show. i like bridget and kendra...they seem like their own people. holly seems like hef's puppet. her whole life revolves around him. i read bridget is in a doctoral program and kendra is a massage therapist and has been investing in real estate. at least they are not putting all their eggs in hef's basket. i don't think he's ever gonna marry holly.

I bought them on DVD and watched while recovering from surgery. I love the show, probably for the reasons anyone who watches reality tv does...hum, what are those reasons exactly??:7

The whole sleeping arrangement thing? I simply put it out of my head because its too gross. But the rest of the show--the girls are pretty much ding bats-or act like they are, its funny actually.
