Girls Gone Strong- Modern Women's Guide to Strength Training on sale

I borrowed from a friend the Beach Body workouts 21Day Fix not Extreme, because I like their portion control food program. They were good for after GGS because I didn't think they were hard at all. Maybe level 4 would be good? I would say that the 21DF workouts are beginner to a little intermediate. I'm and back to Cathe in full force this week and loving being back. Monday I did XTrain BT premix rounds 1-5 in the morning and CBS premix rounds 1-5 in the evening. Tuesday I did CTrain CLBrounds 1-6. Yesterday day was a planned rest day. Today I did XTrain Burn sets BT. I'm not sure if I'll try to do something again tonight, maybe Burn Sets CBS or a cardio like HS with abs or just abs. I love XTrain!! I might do Legs with Barre tomorrow as I will have more time and another longer one on Saturday, maybe CF less impact or TTM less impact.

I don't know if I'll work thru all of XTrain next week or switch to RWH or what. [emoji41]

Do both Xtrain and RWH! There is a rotation in the RWH PDF manual that incorporates both. I did it in September and LOVED the way the two worked together.

Great to see you are back to working out LadyLep and doing workouts that you enjoy!
I must agree with you on the nutrition aspect it's tricky. Hopefully, you will find a food program that works for you.

The XTrain and RWH rotation sounds very enticing. Dmerz, what did you like about this rotation the most?

I love both the Xtrain and RWH series- the heavy weights and Hiit combined in a program works really well for me. All the workouts were under an hour which is really nice too. It just felt like a very balanced rotation.

Refund came thru on my checking acct today! I didn't have to call or anything!

Last week was mostly a XTrain and this week seems to be RWH so far. Loving being back with Cathe!!

Great to hear you were refunded in a timely manner.
That alone says a lot about the company.

XTrain, RWH next will be ICE. Get ready........

@LadyLep

Hi, Got a question. What is it you did not like in GGS? Was it the content, the intensity of the program?
I would be grateful if you could briefly bullet point your thoughts on it. Your opinion on the contents and the intensity
of the program would be helpful. Reading one of the post, I am under the impression the exercises are supersets. BTW, Glad your refund got processed promptly.
Kind regards.

I dint like that it was not hard enough, but I was recommended by them to do level 2, I did switch to 3 but I didn't see a difference, but I didn't do it for long. Maybe level 4 would have been better. I kept on watching the clock, so to speak.

Basically each day consisted of 6 exercises, paired into super sets. So it would be A1 exercise, one set of 6-10 reps, then A2 exercise 6-10 reps, then repeat twice. Then move on to B1&B2 and C1&C2. There is a warm up but the first time I did it it took me 16 min and I didn't feel warmed up like I do with Cathe, minorly stretched, more like relaxed. And the cool down was lying on my back, eyes closed, deep breathing for like 30 seconds.

Some of the exercises needed equipment that I don't have like a cable system so I had to ask for substitutions, and there are some in the training manual, but sometimes I think that would get me out of level 2 and move me either up or down.

I didn't feel motivated. I had also bought Insanity Max 30 in February of this year and borrowed 21 Day Fix a couple of weeks ago and I didn't like them either. I just really like Cathe. I do have a few older DVDs like The Firm from 2014, but I never use it anymore and Urban Rebounding with JB Barnes, which I might do again, but I love Cathe, so I won't be buying anyone else for a while!

Thanks @LadyLep for answering my question. Reviews are helpful.

There is no harm in having preference. You have gained a lot training cathe anyway. I have seen a picture of your
muscles --- Nice definitions:) :p You have gained a hard body:)

If you are not motivated, not challenged etc.... there is no point wasting time --- I agree.

All the very best;);)

Unfortunately, I have gain about 10 pounds since this time last year, trying new workouts and overeating on 2 family vacations didn't agree with me! But I've started the 2 months with RWH and hope to lose it and gain that muscle back!
