Dang!! I just read that girl scout cookies are now free of trans-fats! Now I have no excuse not indulge in those blasted thin mints! I sense a marketing genius at work.

I try to avoid those thin mints, too, but every year I cave. On the upside, the fact that they are now free of trans fats makes them health food, right?;) And, Bill, just two????

There is no way that I am going to be able to avoid Girl Scout cookies this year. I am my DD's troup's "cookie mom" and am about to have 102 cases, yes I said cases, of cookies in my house.

And yes, some of which are staying in the house. Not for long though...mmmm mmmm good!!! ;)

I forsee some extra cardio in my very near future!

I'm not a cookie mom but next week the cookies come in and that means my house will be filled with them. So I will be sorting them all weekend then distrubiting them all next week. The samoas are my fav. Thin Mints being my second fav. I figure it's a once a year indulgence.

My girls are not in scouts, but my nieces are!! So, yeah, of course I ordered some. It'll be a good willpower test... I'm betting I'll lose!;-)

My house has recently been overrun with cases of cookies courtesy of my cute little Brownie! I also noticed that the trans fats were listed as O grams, but partially hydrogenated oils were still listed second or third in the list of ingredients. After a bit of research I learned that PER serving there is about .5 gram of trans fat which can be listed as zero. The problem lies in the fact that no one eats just one serving! So, just be careful and grateful they are only sold once per year! ;-)
