Getting winded too quick while working out?

I am only 7 weeks along with my 1st, and trying hard to keep up my fitness routine. Lately I've been doing CTX and Timesaver just because I've been tired and short on time.

The past few workouts, I have had to rest for a second between intervals or kickbox drills because I was too tired. Is this normal? Am I working too hard? These DVDs are usually pretty moderate for me, not super hard. That's why I am using them!!!

Thanks in advance for anything :)

That is very normal. I would say that the 1st thing I notice when I am pregnant is the change I need to make with my workouts. The good news is you will probably feel better in your 2nd trimester. I still need to modify my workouts but that is because I choose to. Feel good and keep us posted

I have recently read that by my stage in pregnancy (18 weeks) that the heart is working 40% harder than before pregnancy. It will increase to 50% by the end. If I remember correctly, at the stage you are at your heart is most likely working 25% harder.

I experienced the same thing. I was only able to work out two times a week during the first tri-mester due to fatigue and nausea. I am up to four times now and slowly increasing the intensity and time of my workouts.

Keep at it, you will feel better!

That makes me feel SO much better! These workouts were pretty easy (well, easy for Cathe anyway!) for me while I was not pregnant....so I was worried! I don't modify...I just take more breaks! If that makes sense :)

Thanks so much everyone!
