Teaching someone else how to workout is the best way to improve your own workouts, I've found out. When I was studying for my ACE PT test, I became more aware of my form, so that improved my strength training.
Then, when I began to teach classes myself, and later to take the Y's Group Fitness Instructor classes, I became more aware of putting my all into my cardio workouts. You learn to use "strong" arms, and teach 150% to get 75% out of your instructees.
Now, you DON'T have to teach to improve your form, just be aware of what you're doing and don't do your Cathe (or whatever) tapes on autopilot. Watch Cathe and her crew, and mimic their moves.
For what it's worth, take it or leave it.
Just Do It! :7 ...and give it your all!
