Getting ready to buy and need some help

I believe I had narrowed down my video choices for my first Cathe purchase and would appreciate
any feedback or comments you have about my selections.

For an overall body workout I'm thinking of Muscle Endurance. Can I do the workout with just
dumbbells until I can get a barbell and plates? How stressful is it on knees (I have two bad ones0?

For a circuit video I was thinking of Cardio and Weights. How would you compare this to Circuit Max?

I am also contemplating getting CTX Upper Body and Leaner Legs. Any comments about these
would be greatly appreciated.

Good choices or will I collapse from the intensity (I consider myself intermediate/advanced and am
getting bored with the Firm videos I have)?

Thanks for the feedback!

First, Cardio & Weights is easier than Circuit Max. Circuit Max has six circuits and C&W has only 4. I love them both so I couldn't tell you which to get, except it may be possible that C&W might be easier on the knees.

I love Muscle Endurance, but I am not sure how knee friendly it is. As of right now I don't have knee issues so not sure. There are leg presses(step-ups on a tall box) so this could be a possible aggravator.

Currently I am doing CTX upper body and Leaner Legs, and I absolutely love them. LL is one killer leg workout but I think I have seen warnings to people with bad knees on this one. There is just an endless amount of squats.

If I chose for more knee friendly leg work I would have to go with ME compared with LL. Maybe someone else can chime in here. Whatever you get you will not regret it! I love all of them and most would agree.

Also, I have yet to see an exercise that you can't substitute dumbbells for a barbell.

Let us know what you choose!

I think Circuit Max is much tougher as far as intensity than Cardio & Weights, but I think C&W is more fun, with better music. I use CM more as a cardio workout as I dont feel that I can go heavy enough on the weights to really consider it any sort of strength workout. C&W is more evenly split since it also includes a heavier isolation exercise for upper body after the compound weight work. I only have 1 bad knee and wear a knee strap and can do both ME and Leaner Legs though I have to use very light weight for both, especially LL or I will feel it in my knee the next day. I have nothing but good things to say about CTX Upper Body!! I love it! Some days I will split this one into 2 30 min. workouts. ME and CTX UB are both easily modified using only dumbells. Another option to consider is also getting Pyramid Upper Body b/c that uses only dumbells. You may consider that one instead of LL. If your knees ache with FIRMs Standing Legs, they most likely will with Leaner Legs too. Let us know if you have any more questions!!

When I first tried C&W it surprised me that so many people raved about it. I was very lukewarm about it because it seemed rather easy.
Compared to IM2...the step sequences seemed kind of plain. But now I have found a real good way to use it...I tack on the Cardio premix after 5 intervals of IM2 and it is an awesome way to get a full 40 minute something of cardio. I don't feel guilty just doing half of IM and feel really happy about the amount of cardio time I've put in.

I like Pyramid Series a lot. Can't make myself change rotations because it's so time efficient and I love the sequences and the exercises. LL is too hard for me, I won't stick to endurance training. I'd rather wear cardgo pants.:p
