Getting my Groove Back

Hi everybody!

Im a long time fan of Cathe workouts but ive hit a snag and was wondering if I could get some advice. As I get older, I noticed that when I fall off the workout wagon, its even HARDER than it was to get back into it. Even some of the most basic workouts give me DOMs for days. I know part of my success would involve just starting with lower weights than what Cathe uses, but can anyone give me their recos for the workouts they feel are the best ones to use when starting back?
I have a streaming membership but I feel like Im really not taking full advantage of it.

Thanks,

G

If you have access to the streaming I'm thinking it might be easier to do Cathe's beginner rotation?

That way it helps you not having to think about what to do and you can just plug and play?

You could also change things up with another long-time rotation from one of the forum members known as Fitness freak

Hope that helps you get your groove :)

Hey G, & welcome to the forums.

I find that doing another workout (vs skipping a workout) to get my muscles moving helps me with DOMS. May seem counterintuitive but it sure seems to help.

Also be sure to include some stretching & mobility workouts, like Cathe's extended stretches chapters in the LITE & Step Boss series, or the Total Body Stretch and Stretch Max dvds. There's also an extended stretch chapter with the STS series. I think the Perfect30 mobility workouts would be perfect also.
