Getting it done for November 2014

Morning! Up early and planning my workout plan for today. :)

TY! Belinda on the headache and workout. Yes this headache is being quite stubborn for sure. :/

Plan: GS bi,shoulders and back, plus a quick bike WO with Basic Step and lower body. Well maybe not exactly in that order but
will do my best today! :)

Sherry: How are you doing? Did you get a ton of snow in your area? I have been seeing pic's from many states that have been covered!
We are at bare leafy ground here but cold. By Monday it should be about 50!

Hi all! Happy Saturday!

Been MIA, but getting in some good wo's.

Thursday was first day with trianer. Plan is to use those for my lb days. I think we/he has a good plan worked out. Lots of heavy pyramid work, then bw balance/stability work, finishing with some core. I was completely exhausted afterwards.

Friday - quite stiff in the morning and every time I was sitting for awhile, but overall just some very nice DOMS. No wo, as went downtown for the tree lighting celebration. Once of DD's friends was exhibition skating in the outdoor rink as part of the festivities.

Today - 3.5 mile run, followed by XStretch - leg soreness went away nicely as they moved more, and the stretch afterwards worked out the rest of it.

Only about 4" of snow by us, much more further north. However, had lows in the single digits. Above freezing this weekend so slushy out, hence my run was on the tm.

Belinda - You are doing great on your 2-a-day wo's! Keep it up! Nice to know you are seeing progress measuring out your portions. I need to get better at that. I think that's where it's going wrong - eating the right stuff, just too much of it.

Heidi - Nice job on BF today - yes, gets me huffing and puffing, too. Ambitious today - maybe not all at once? enjoy your warmer weather.

Now to get some stuff done around here. Hope you are having a good one!
 
Hi Sherry! Oh wow! Nice job on your trainer workouts and the run. :) Sounds like it is going well so far.
Phooey on the slushy mess however. LOL!

Just came in from a day of running around. We brought both autos in for tire rotations and my car had a nail in the tire as well. ;/
Went shopping and out for lunch while waiting. Bad idea for me....Five Guys burger and a few of DH's fries. There goes my eating well for
today. Better tomorrow for sure!

I am pretty exhausted after all of that running around so not up to a bike and weight workout this evening. At least I did something today.

Sherry - awesome job with your trainer and run. How long are you working out with him? Your trainer is probably giving you a eating plan too? You will get better.

Heidi - sorry about your car. Running around is excusing. I am sure with all that running around you already burned of that burger. I love Five Guys burger. How is your headache?

Finally getting a chance to sit down today!

In between the normal weekend stuff of house cleaning, laundry and groceries, I did get in my wo - UBS, Stab Ball Abs, Hip Thrust Challenge, and a dog walk. Lots of short segments, but got it done!

Heidi - Very busy day for you. I'm sure that wore you out. I love Five Guys, too, and can't resist the fries if someone orders them, which someone always does. Rest for tonight, and hit the wo's and cleaner eating tomorrow. You can do it!

Belinda - Wonderful stretch! Not sure how long I'll be working with the trainer - at least until the end of the year, I think. No specific eating plan yet, but I do need to be tracking what I eat, and we'll make tweaks from there. Hence, I need to know how much I'm eating and understand portion size. Yep, I'll get there. thanks for your encouragement.

Now to relax myself. Hope you had a good one.

Ok at least I am not alone when it comes to the Five Guys burger joint. Lol! I was just shocked when I checked the calories! I will do better for sure. Thank you both!

Today I started off ok with the food. A green smoothie and hard boiled egg for breakfast.
Lunch was my husbands haddock chowder.

Dinner: backed chicken and 1/2 sweet potato.

As for a WO I did a walk with DH and a friend. 3.74 miles.

The day was mostly laundry and talking with guests that stopped in as well as my DD and her boy friend ( husband to be) :)

I will do JS 40-Minute Seated Chair Cardio and Strength Workout and SBF LB BC Barre = 25 min and Thight Reset Target = 5 min.

Heidi - those burgers are high in cal but very yummy. Good job with your eating and workout.

Sherry - I am sure you will learn a lot from your trainer, make notes. So you can apply them later on again. So proud of you. Keep it up!

Good Evening!

WO done -tonight was a run - 3.5 miles followed by a stretch. Even though the legs felt good, the HR was up higher than usual. Not sure why, maybe something to do with the stress of the tree that was blown over by the wind today?

Great job both of you on the wo's today!

Made a fiesta chicken recipe (kind of like chicken chili) and while we loved it, I loaded it into MFP and didn't like the answers it gave for portions - as in way to many calories, carbs and fat grams. Thought I was making something healthy. I will not be giving you that recipe. LOL!

As for working towards our goals, I'm really trying to stick with 1500 calories, with a 40/40/20 split. Portion control is the big thing for me, so getting out the kitchen scale and measuring cups will be critical.

Oh, but did I mention that DH ordered a pumpkin pie and a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for Thanksgiving dessert? The culinary school is on his campus, and the food is always delicious, but not exactly towards my clean eating goals. That's what he brings home, but they do have wonderfully healthy food there, too.

Ok, shower and get ready for tomorrow. Catch ya then. Oh yeah, and trainer guy to get my booty some great DOMS again.

Today I will do SBF Upper/Core + Weights = 20 min + Shoulder 2 = 10 min. I also will do Jessica Smith Low Impact Quit Cardio = 30 min. Not sure, if I do any extras?

This morning I am getting the second round of my root canal. That should be interesting. LOL!

Sherry - amazing job on your run last night. What happened with the tree? Are you ok? Yeap, once you log your food into MFP, it's a different story. That pumpkin pie and a white chocolate raspberry cheesecake sounds so yummy.

Good morning,

I had my 2nd root canal this morning. I am forced to take a rest day, doctors orders:) The doc wants me to take it easy for the next 2 day's, we see about that, lol. I also have an infection on my gum lines, go figure! The doc said it's from the root canal, dah?

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow.

Hi all!

Great but brutal wo with the trainer again today. Good mix - some heavy weights, some lighter for more reps, some bodyweight, some machines. Glutes and hams feeling it nicely.

Belinda - Sorry about your tooth work. Yes, please rest and give your body a chance to heal it. Tree just blew over, pulled the roots out. Not even a stump to deal with. It was a Bradford pear, so soft wood, easy to deal with. However, they do hold their leaves, so that's probably what contributed to the wind knocking it over. Ours wasn't the only Bradford pear in the neighborhood. Also, you are such the enabler. ;) Trying not to take any action . . .

Sherry - thank you for your kind words. Glad you all ok. That's scary about the tree.Must have been some strong winds, hah? I wasn't gonna buy anything at the BB sale, but the price was too good to be true. Never seen Turbo Fire that low. I got my hands on a few sets at BB, lol. I think I am set for the next year. I canceled Cathe's preorder for something. Go figure!

Heidi - I am taking it easy. I am on antibiotics for the infection . Tooth hurts a off and on. It's not as bad as last month.
I will not go shipping except online. Enjoy your family and shopping. Your turkey is in the oven, I am still sitting here and drinking my coffee.

Not sure, what I will do today? Haven't looked at my calendar yet? Yesterday I played catch up with Jessica Smith (everything was low impact) and SBF LB barre workout (also low impact).
