Getting it done for June!!

I can feel the DOMS! I think Cathes yoga max and the holding of poses for so long did me in! Thats ok, feel the burn.

This morning I did Afterburn (yeah, baby!). She asked me "Who's Boss?" - I shouted "you are!". Then she kept asking if I was ready and I kept saying no, but she must not have heard me because she just kept on trucking. :)

Thank goodness tomorrow is friday. This week has been DRAGGING at work. Tomorrow I go back to the oral surgeon so she can check on my healing. I hope this time next week there is no sensitivity! (wishful thinking I know)

Heidi - I have a feeling you will have some DOMS in your chest and tris tomorrow! I love that series. What is this about your hip? Good grief! We are all so fragile...

Belinda - I hope you enjoyed your run! What is the weather like by you? It is super, super dry over here. We keep the garden watered though - have some fresh lettuce already! :)

Sherry - You got me out of bed this morning. No excuses. Thank you! :)

Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? (other than yard work??) :)
 
Hi all!

It's late, so this is quick. Today's WO is done - 2.5 mile easy run followed by Yoga Relax premix #1. :)

Belinda - Great calorie burn, even without the music! ;)

Heidi - You worked the YB good - let me know how that feels in the a.m! :)

Karen - Afterburn should worked out those aches from yoga good, and given you new ones in return! ;)

Now, heading to bed. Tomorrow is Friday, and there are no kids to get rolling in the morning! :D

Nice job on the yoga too. I get DOMS from doing yoga and it is definitely the holding of the poses that gets me.
As for the hip...Sunday I was washing the window screens bent to one side too long and pulled the left him muscles. Getting in and out of my aunts car on Monday while out shopping was really difficult. I felt older then all of them! Argh!
It is sooooo much better today and I can lift my left knee up while standing but sitting it is still tight.

Good luck with the check-up! It will get better I promise! :)

Sherry: I hope your sleeping in today! :) Nice job on your run and yoga last night. How long is the premix? I started one of the new yoga w/o's but actually got bored. Maybe I should try the premixes. ;)

Hey I am back to report my w/o is DONE! Wasn't sure I could do it but did! ;)

Quite the cal burn! I did Ultimate Energy spinning workout. 50.11 min total and 672 cals burned. 15.72miles worth!

I am getting better with the spinning and standing jumps. :) These are tough!

Oh! Great recipe from Tosca Reno! I made it for dinner last night. Moroccan Chicken and Lentils. Page 150 from her Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook. DH liked it a lot. It makes about 12 servings (I made half) Saved the rest in containers for quick grab lunches.
 
NO workout for me (yet) today. DH interrupted my sleep last night when he came home at 3AM and decided to mess with our dog. Backing up - the previous night he got to come home from work because there was nothing to do. He made it into the house and into our bedroom without my dog or I knowing. Raleigh never barked or anything. So last night DH made noise coming into the house (all I heard was Raleighs doggy door swinging), raleigh was barking like mad and woke me up. I was yelling at him to be quiet but he wouldn't. Typically if he is spooked I have to go see what it is before he shuts up. So I hauled myself out of bed and into the kitchen to the front door and DH jumped up from the basement stairs "HA!" (to scare raleigh) Needless to say, he scared the crap out of me. So I slept in this morning because I was tired. Still am.

Anyway, the OS said my gums are healing well so yay for that.

Heidi - You're recipe sounds really good. I'm not sure if I have that cookbook or not...

Sherry - My butt, shoulders and upperback are still screaming at me. I have a love hate relationship with the soreness. :)


I will get a butt kicking in over the weekend for sure...I promise! I've lost 2lbs already from my "soft diet" - but I'm dragging energy-wise. I'm sure once my teeth improve that weight will easily come back. :p
 
Alright, got a quick workout in. Did 4DS Shoulders, Chest and Back. Also two dog walks. At least I managed to get something in, always feel better when I do. :)

Heidi - what spin DVD is that? Need to check it out. Nice cal burn. I don't have TR cookbook, maybe when you have time you can post the recipe? PLEASE! LOL! Yeah, bought curtins in the IKEA. on Friday.

Happy Saturday!

3 mile run done, plus 1 mile dog walk to cool down, followed directly by lots of yard work. We stopped when all of the yard waste bins were full, which tells us how bad we've been neglecting it all.

Belinda - Nice job on the wo's. Your back must be lots better.

Karen - Glad the dental surgery is healing nicely, and YAY for the two pounds!

Heidi - I'll need to check out that recipe. Always need more ideas for chicken.

With yard work done, there's still laundry, cleaning inside, groceries . . . it never ends!

Sherry - I hear you on the yard, it never stops. Same with the house. Good job on that run and walk. My back is doing so much better, I am very careful with all that jumping.

To celebrate the day in a fitness way (which was after we had BR ice cream cake for breakfast), DH and DS went for a run, I did Kickbox, and shortly DD will have soccer tryouts.

Is school work exercise? I'm exercising my brain after all, right? I'm on school work overload. Dh is asleep right now, so now is the time to cram so I can spend some time with him when he wakes up.

Yesterday (saturday) I did Piyo 21 for my workout. This morning my UB and LB is feeling a wee bit sore. However after some school cramming this AM I took a break and did the entire Cycle Strong DVD with Mindy. (Cycling, Legs, Cycling, Upperbody, Cycling, Abs and finally a stretch!) Pup still needs a walk as well. I might have to get some extra stretching in tonight if my legs are feeling it.... Over all I feel like I kicked my own butt and that is all that matters. :)

Back to work...

Friday was a cycle workout
Saturday: House and shopping
Sunday: A walk of 2.13 miles....Was suppose to relax me...I was jumped by 2 dogs on my way home. 2 bruises on my left arm and a punture wound on my rt.
I am sure they were suppose to be good dogs but no owner around to call them off. I ended up calling the police....TOTALLY RUINED THE REST OF MY DAY! Just shook up and upset. :(

My DH's friend stopped in to invite us up for clams and crabs...we ended up here and had a great evening with his family and mine. Food, wine/beer and a campfire until late.

Tonight my DD is taking us to a new movie in 3D. :)

No w/o plans just yet. Have to get moving into work mode.

This morning I did a quick Muscle Endurance UB premix minus the abs. DH will be leaving on Friday for three weeks so my WO schedule will be all out of whack I'm sure as I will have to take care of the pup before work (which I do not do now).

It is going to be super steamy here today (90's). Gosh I wish we had a pool. I might have to head to one of the nearby lakes if it gets too hot. But who am I kidding. I'm strapped to my laptop doing school work every minute I am home so my butt is comfortable in the AC. :p My dog is so funny because when we get back from our walks he literally plunks down in front of the kitchen AC vent panting. lol I'll have to join him one of these days....
 
Hi Karen: Ty I am doing ok just still freaked out. Mainly it was one dog that wouldn't leave me alone. The other came at me but as soon as I yelled it cowered down. The other must haven't been trained or was too young.. Can't tell but sometimes they just don't get out of a bad habit.
All I know is at this point is that the dog officer better start cracking down on these people or a child may get hurt.

Keep cool! :) our temps will be in the 90"s come weds. And thurs.

I am doing ok..stiff today in my upper not sure why. I did report it that same day but haven't heard anything back from the dog officer. I guess I better call today to see what has happened and if the dog even has had its shots!

Not sure what I will do for a workout...work calls so that is about it. Maybe a run with runervals 6.0 w/o B.

My dinner receipe from the other night:

> 3 tsp sea salt, divided
> 1 lb dried lentils, rinsed, drained and picked through

> 2 Tbsp plus 2tsp chili powder
> 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

> 1 large onion, peeled and chopped
> 2 lbs skinless boneless chicken or turkey breasts, thinly sliced
> 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
> 1cup shopped fresh parsley or cilantro (optional for serving)

> 1: Combine water and 1 tsp salt in stock pot over high heat. Add lentils and bring to boil, cover and reduce heat to cook
> for approx. 25min or until tender.
> Drain well, rinse with cold water and drain again. Place in large bowl.

Good morning everyone!

Last night I got in a 30 minute Rodney Yee Flexibility yoga dvd, and two dog walks! I'm really liking adding the stretching at night. Rather than just coming home and sitting on my butt!

This morning I did TurboKick Round 40! Love it! Very fun and was a sweaty mess at the end. I may need to start teaching with this round. Straight forward for the most part and lots of funkiness!

Heidi - I'm glad you are ok, and I can see why you would be frustrated about it. I can't imagine how a kid would handle that! We have had dogs run out at us when we are out walking, but they have been pretty harmless....so far....

Sherry and Belinda - What are your plans for today?

Yesterday I did Cardio Super Sets. Today I will do Pyramid lower body.
