Getting it done for January!

Morning girls,

Yesterday I took a 60 min walk w/the dogs. Had some pain, but nothing like I had a a week ago. So far so good.

Heidi - no DOMS in my arms today. I need to go up in weights. Glad you like the xtrain rotation.

Sherry - I didn't start Xtrain, will not do it until my foot is completely healed. I have to try the broccoli, sounds great.

Not sure what I will do today? BBL!
 
Hi all!

WO done! Insanity Fast & Furious followed by XTrain CBS. I did the premix with rounds 1-4 only so I could match Cathe's weight. That worked it!

DD and I also went to the Autoshow so she could check out all the sports cars that she'll never have. But it is fun to be able to get up close and touch them.

Housecleaning about done, but still need to get groceries. Is deceivingly sunny outside. Light layer of snow, but only 15* - no way dog is getting a long walk today.

Belinda - Glad you are taking it easy. Sounds like that is helping.

Heidi - What are your plans today?

Workout is done: I did Turbo Jam Cardio Party Mix 1 and 10 Minute Trainer w/Tony Hortan. TJ is a blast, even low impact. I burned over 556 cal in only 43 min:eek: I'll take it:D 10 Min Trainer is all done with a exercise tubing. Felt the burn in my abs. Great workouts.

WO's are done! Early it was Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit, and this evening I did XTrain Bi's & Tri's - timesaver rounds 1-5. Arms are talking to me. Absolutely no dog walks - way to cold. Was -2* here this morning, and the kids did still have school - this is Michigan.

Belinda - Nice job on your wo's today. I tried TJ back when is was on Exercise or Fit TV. I thought it kind of jumped around a bit, but that may have been because it wasn't the whole wo but a sampler to get you to buy it. I'm trying to do XTrain, but my travel schedule for work is a bit hectic here at the beginning of the year, so I'm mixing it up a bit. Also, I'm trying to start exercising in the morning before work. At this point, that means I need something that is fairly mindless and doesn't require much equipment to get out. I figure once I'm in the habit, then I can move on to more (equipment/time/weights).

Heidi - Hope you are finding time to get in a wo.

Sherry - you go girl, doing 2 workouts in one day;) Be careful, those Insanity workouts are tough on your knees. Turbo Jam is from Beachbody. I kept everything low impact, no jumping around for me;) I thought TJ was fresh and interresting. Different moves:) I liked it a lot! They are so much fun. That's what I am doing, mixing my workouts up. That's a great idea starting to workout in the morning. I always feel better afteward.

Heidi - what are your plans today?

Belinda! Nice job mixing up your workouts and keeping it low impact! :)

Today was SG cardio only. Then RIDE! premix 4. OH MAN TALK ABOUT SWEATING BUCKETS! Felt my lower body on this as well. PHEW! I did about 27min and 8 miles worth.

Monday: Interval run of 3.25 miles. STS Med ball abs in the morning and then LIS Tri sets upper in the evening.

Yesterday turned into a rest day. NEEDED IT FOR SURE! ;)

Tomorrow is afterburn but I may switch it. Will see how my legs are. LOL!

Sherry! Nice job on the supercuts the other day! I have this on my schedule for Saturday. Glad you liked it and thanks for the run down too. ;)

Just finished Leslie Swansons 3 mile power walk. I have to say"NOT BAD":eek: I was sweating my butt off. I liked it and it's low impact.

Legs done! Premix 5 - Standing + Floor + Rear Delts After doing lots of plyo this morning, I expect to be stiff tomorrow. :)

Belinda - I'm glad you had a good workout. I've always wondered if Leslie's "walk" wo's are any good. Maybe it's perfect for you right now. I'm am taking it easy with the jumping. We have mats on the floor to help cushion the legs.

Heidi - You are really going at it! Good for you! I'm glad the two series work together so well. I'll have to try that sometime.

Dinner's ready. Speaking of eating, I think I need to start a log again. Tried doing one of those on my phone all, but it was kind of a pain. Think I need the old fashioned paper method.

I just finished Turbo Jam 2. I am in love with TJ. Those workouts are so much fun and the music rocks.

Sherry - like I said I used DB's with the workout, I think that made a huge difference. Have to find something that works, right? They are not bad workouts. Let me know how the mats work out for you. I have some, never put them down:( I log my food in myfitnesspal.com, I forget to log in most times:mad: maybe I should try writing everything down.

Hi all!

Thought I posted earlier today, but apparently not.

WO done this a.m. - Insanity Cardio Recovery - which is a lot of stretching and some pulses so work the soreness out.

No weights today - I gave blood. Means tomorrow will be total upper body. Haven't done that Burn Sets premix. Kind of scaring me just thinking about it.

Kids are done with finals for the semester today, so it's good that we all get to chill.

Belinda - I'm sure TJ is a nice change of pace. Glad you are having fun with it.

Heidi - What are your plans today?

Today I did XT Low impact Hiit and core. This was premix #1. About 50min worth. Loved that! :)

Tomorrow I am doing XT SuperSets! :)

Hey Belinda, Sherry, and Heidi!

Just wanted to do a quick check in. School just started again this week so I doubt that I will be checking in very often again. Just wanted to let you know I'm still alive and kicking!

I'm finishing up week 4 of the xtrain 90 day endulating rotation, unfortunately I think I am going to have to stop it. The situation with my back, neck, and jaw is still going on. Ended up getting a appliance to wear to help ease the jaw pain, but even with PT twice a week my upper body and neck are still super, super tight. They told me to stop doing certain exercises that use those muscles - so this weekend I have to reasses what I'm going to do as far as a rotation.

DH and I have given up eating meat and animal products so our eating is alot of veggies and whole grains. I thought that maybe I would lose some weight after changing my eating, but I haven't really seen much movement on the scale one way or another. I guess I can't complain though, I don't feel as yucky and bloated.

I see everyone is rocking their workouts. Who is all doing Xtrain? How did your LB feel after that first leg workout Sherry? I thought the workout just flew by and loved it!

I will try to check in when I can. I hope everyone is in good health and spirits!

Good evening!

Burn Sets - Upper Body premix is done! Yep, did everything - chest, back, shoulders, biceps and triceps. Nice burn going on with all the muscle groups. I was concerned that this would be a long wo, 78 minutes, but it really seemed to go by quick.

Heidi - Great job on your wo. I really like how Discs 1 & 2 with more reps balance against burn Sets, with heavier weight and less reps. High fives to both of us - we are burning some calories and building muscle!

Karen - Hey woman! Glad you could stop by! Loved the 80 minutes of Legs - that's on deck for tomorrow again. Good luck with school. How much longer do you have to go? We're trying to change our diet, too, by eating cleaner and keeping less junk in the house.

Biggest issue for me is portion control. Think I might actually take a few days a measure everything just to get portion size right. I really think that's my next hurdle. We are keeping the junk out of the house these days.

Catch up with you tomorrow. We'll all be at it again.
 
Morning ladies,

We have no heat since yesterday. They guy who come out yesterday told us the part for the heater isn't coming until Monday or Tuesday, WTH? Yeah, we have a pellet stove and heat upstairs. It's cold downstairs, no matter how you shake the stick. After I heard no heat until Monday/Tuesday..I was like what about overnight shipping? Hallo? He said he would make some phone calls and whola the found the part. Hopefully the can put the part in today. it's freezing cold in my living/kitchen. DH and I went and bought a space heater for the living room (it clams it covers 1000 sqft, right) I think after the repairman fixes the heater, I will return the space heater.

I did managed to get a UB and abs in last night.

Sherry - good job on the clean eating and UB wo.

Karen - DD and I were a vegetarian for a few years. We both didn't lose any weight. I believe by cutting out the protein, we ate more grains/sweets instead. Veggies alone don't make you tummy full:(.

Heidi - good job on BS last night.

Belinda - I do hope they are able to fix your furnace. That is awful! Keep yourself and those pups warm! Can't believe they didn't suggest overnight shipping on their own - not exactly customer focused.

Great job on your upper and abs workout last night just the same. :)

Sherry: Your doing great too with your workouts and sticking with it. Eating will come into order and I do tend to measure here and there. ;) I do also keep very careful track of the calories so I stay within my limits.
Nice job this morning! Have a great workout this evening with XT legs. :) I have yet to do that one.

Hello and big wave to ya Karen! Glad to hear that your hanging in there! :) I am currently following the XT and LIS series rotation that is shown the the manual. It is a great mix of weights and cardio workouts. I really like it!
Good job on your change in diet. I tend to eat more veggies and fruits then bread and meat. Once a week I will have chicken or fish. I wish you luck with your new program and let us know if you have found some interesting recipes. ;)
