Getting it done for January 2015

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was a rest day - I gave blood.

Today wo's are done - sprints plus stretch and BA2. I like the abs in the new series, too - a few different moves that are challenging because they are different. Rest of the day is the normal weekend stuff - laundry, cleaning, and groceries.

Loving this "warmer" weather - temps in the 20's today here in MI. Will be taking the dog out for a good long walk shortly. More snow forecasted for tonight, then a nasty dip in temps again, so need to get her out while I can tolerate it.

Belinda - Enjoy your more relaxing wo and dog walk today. Don't let those grey winter skies get you the blues. Heidi - Great job getting in your run first thing. Hooray for no pizza, though that's what we had last night (and Oreos at the Red Cross 'caues they had them again, and Five Guys for Lunch 'cause that's what DD wanted after her soccer ref recert class - so all in all not good on the clean eating).

Goals this week - eat clean - planning my menu before I go so the store - and get up in the morning to do cardio before work. What areyour goals this week?

I am in agreement with you both on the new series. The workouts are just enough for me length wise. Get you good as well!

Belinda: How was your day yesterday? I think the weather was a tad better... :/

Sherry: No workout for me yesterday. Just the joy of housework. ;) Great job on your workout and plan for the week.
Eating was on the good side yesterday. :) I too have to make my plan and meals ahead for this week.

Your DD must be putting out a lot of energy on her games. Five Guys burgers are great but not for me. I like the veggie burger however. ;)


Up early doing paperwork ahead so I can do my workout before I leave. RWH Back, Biceps and Shoulders. If I have the time I will add a run as well. Or do it later this afternoon.

Good morning,

Yesterday DH and I took a nice long walk with the dogs. It was cold, glad I was bundled up. It was nice to go get some fresh air.

Plan for today: XT Biceps & Triceps. I also will do SBF TB Classic Barre 2 = 35 min.

Heidi - hope you get to take a nap later. Did you get that run and your weight workout in before work? You go, girl!

Sherry - thanks for the link, I like it! Some people are hard on their selfs with NYR. I will have some goals. Did you get that dog walk in yesterday?

Hi all!

Yesterday ended up being a rest day. Snowed all night the night before so had to get up early to get the driveway clear, then still snowing during the morning commute so took way too long to get to the office. Also a long drive home, so just bushed at the end of the day.

Lesson for today - if you want to exercise in the morning, you need to set the alarm for the correct time. Apparently both DD and I are having a bit of trouble with the am/pm thing.

Plan for tonight will be RWH UB Circuit. First time for that one.

Heidi - Good job on BBS. I like how she splits up the shoulder work in this series, hitting it twice but for the different muscles. Did you get in your run, too?

Belinda - What leg wo did you do today? Yep, got in the dog walk the other day. Now temps are way too cold. She'll need to wait a few days before we venture out again.

Monica and Sara - you are welcome here.

Back to work. Catch ya this evening after my wo.
 
I almost forgot I did RWH Circuit LB = 47 min instead of XT legs today . Too many power 7's for me:( All familiar moves:confused:

Sherry - lol, about the alarm:p Have fun with RWH UB Circuit. I think next week, I am trying to do RWH UB Circuit and the other UB instead of the UB XT?

Workout: RWH Plyo #1 and abs 1 PHEW!

Oh wow! my biceps! LOL! Cant straighten my arms again. Sore from yesterdays RWH back, shoulders and biceps.

LOL! Sherry on the alarm issue. Well make sure tonight it is set perfectly. :) Have fun with the upper circuit workout!

No I didn't get in my run yesterday. It was a super busy day at work. Plus the not sleeping issue is really dragging me down.

Belinda: Awesome job on RWH Circuit Legs! Yes that is a tough one on the legs for sure. So are you going to stick mainly to RWH now?
Which rotation will you do?

Oh for you new ladies: I am a Mom of 4 (now all grown and over 19 of course :0) Your always going to be a Mom or parent just the same. ;)
I am a small business owner and that keeps me pretty busy.
Workouts seem to work out best if I can get them done before heading to the office. :)
I have been with Cathe for many years...afraid to look at how many! LOL! Have enjoyed all of her workouts and rotations too.

What are your goals? Do you have family's?

Well that about sums it up for me. Oh! Yes! I did eat clean and made my soup for the rest of the week. :)

Off to get DH his coffee he asked for about 20 min ago. hehe

I'm back. UB Circuit done. Youza! Those cardio blasts were getting me - I really couldn't keep up. I'm blaming it on the cold. It's 0* right now - thank goodness for central heat.

Belinda - High five! You did that one, too? That's later this week for me.

Heidi - Wow, 4 a.m.? What time do you go to bed? Let's see how those biceps are tomorrow.

BTW - alarms (mine and DD's) are set correctly to go off in the a.m., not at all bright and way too early! See ya then!

Sherry - wtg, on your workout yesterday. Can't wait to give this one a whirl.

Heidi - that's early! Couldn't sleep? Hope you got a good night sleep. I have no DOMS today? I will stick with the XT rotation but will sprinkle the new workouts in. I don't see anything different than Cathe other workouts? Except the finisher.

Off to have more coffee, than off getting stuff done around here. Happy Hump Day.

OH MY BICEPS! EEK!~ 2 days later and they are still sore and I can't straighten my arms out completely. LOL!

Today was a 30 min bike workout from Studio Sweat. PHEW! In just 30 I sweated over 300 cals and 9 miles worth.

Just as I was getting ready for work (in the shower) we lost our power. The electric company decided doing work in the freezing cold
temps was a great idea. WHY????? Argh!
Woke this morning at only 4 degrees too!
So anyway the rest of the day was trying to keep warm. With soaked hair that was difficult. :/

Lots of soup and hot herbal tea for me.

Tomorrow's plan in case I don't get to check in: RWH circuit legs. :0

Oh as for sleep: just not sleeping very well. Up at 2am on Monday then 4am yesterday. Today was a little better at 5:30. I usually go to bed at around 11-11:30 too. Guess I have to get to bed earlier to make up for lack of sleep.

That's horrible about the power. So sorry about that. Stay warm, my friend :) Are you stressing? Hope you get some sleep tonight. I getting lots of sleep now. I know the feeling not getting enough sleep. (((HUGS)) been there so many time. Nice job on your DOMS!!

So, I did get up this morning at 5, but was so stiff from last night's UBC, that I stuck with stretching and balance. Glad I waited until tonight to do Poly 1, because that was quite the energetic sweat! Giving myself partial points, 'cause I did get up.

Belinda - High Five! Congrats on your weight loss! The double wo's and controlling the eating are working! Glad you are still enjoying XTrain.

Heidi - Sorry about the not sleeping. Lol about the 2nd day DOMS. Great bike ride!

Gotta get dinner going. Hope you had a good one, and catch ya tomorrow.

Decided to finish my current rotation of Getting Started with RWH this week and do lighter fast 12 min. workouts with running and biking next week.

Last week of the month I start the 30 day RWH and XTRAIN rotation. :)
