Getting it done for January 2015

Happy Saturday!

WO's all done - dog walk, sprints, then RWH BBS. Biceps are still shaking as I type. Love the finishers!

Had fun last night at the auto show. DD and I usually go every year - we like cars, so it's our bonding time. But it was nice to go with a group this time. Then we went to dinner afterwards . . . and the burgers and fries were definitely not clean but oh, sooo good.

Belinda - Excellent job sticking with your diet! It's wonderful that everyone is doing it together. DH has talked about us going paleo, so we've done some research. But runner's need carb options, so we haven't ventured into completely.

Sara - How was yesterday's Cyclemax? I haven't ventured into spin yet - we don't have a bike. As for diet - I notice that I get ravenous when I start working out harder, which makes it so hard to keep on track - even with healthy snacks.

Heidi - ((hugs)) for the headaches. Enjoy the snow. At least it's on the weekend, so you don't have to get out in it, right?

Now time to shower, then head out to DD's soccer game (indoor). Want to get DH to the home improvement show this evening - we need to get some stuff done, and it's close.

XT SuperCuts and Gaiam Restore strong knees is done. I still have SBF Strong Back for later.

Sherry - I remember eating lots of carbs when I ran. DH isn't eating 100% what I eat, but he is eating healthier. The idea is to eat and make healthier choices:D Once you read what they put in your food and read all the labels in the grocery store, it's an eyeopener :D

Heidi - I am sorry about your headache (((HUGS))) hope it goes away soon. That's fantastic you eating :) You are eating super healthy, girl! A few years ago, I was a vegetarian. Started eating meat when we moved to the states, all went hell after that, :oops:.

Sara - on the Paelo diet you can't eat any dairy (except cage free eggs), sugar, wheat, legumes, and free range meats, veggies and fruit. Glad you eating healthy, I will try my best to keep this up after 30 day challenge, lol! Cathe's Tabatacize is tough as nails, lol! All those jumping jacks! I did like Amy Dixon workouts, doubt I will do every often, Heck, I forgot I had the dvd.

I did have to go out yesterday for work supplies at Staples. The roads weren't bad at all. This storm wasn't at all what they worked it up to be. Lol!
We are due for another storm Tuesday and possibly 25-30"s !!!!
Well on that I will believe it when I see it. :)

Slept better last night for I finally put my foot down and opened the third floor bedroom. I slept up there until around 5 and then came downstairs to rest some more.
A little dizzy right now but at least my headache is much better.

I will take things slow this morning and maybe get in a WO if I am up for it later.

Today will be a rest day. I've had 14 straight days, so the last few days I've had to push to get WOs done; that's a sign to me that I need a day off. I'll be back with Plyo HIIT 2 and X10 step tomorrow.

Cyclemax was super hard too. My HR stays up, up, up the whole time; even when she is resting, mine is still pounding away. Even though they are so hard, it's fun to have a new challenge. BYW, Brenda is cool as a cucumber the whole workout, just smiling away... :) on another thread I found out that she is an ironwoman! You can really tell she rides when you see these WOs.

Belinda, that diet seems way too hard for me. I really get starving if I don't have enough protein, and a girl can only drink so much protein powder. I do like to eat meat for the satiation, plus I just like it. :)

Sherry, I have the same problem with hunger when I WO. If I don't I can feel just fine, but when I workout, I'm really hungry and need enough to satisfy, especially in the morning.

Hi all!

WO done - Plyo 1 plus BA1. Had a headache which affected my energy, but pushed myself through. Tried a short dog walk, but sub streets are icy, so not very long. Pup was happy just to get out. We're in for some more cold weather, so getting her out every little bit while we can (but at least we don't have the snow coming - this time).

Heidi - glad you got some sleep. Take it easy today, especially if you are dizzy.

Belinda - I bet that yoga felt good today.

Sara - enjoy your rest day.

Food note - the turkey spinach meatloaf muffins on Cathe's home page look good - may have to give those a try!

Relax the rest of the day - tomorrow we're back at it!

Sherry - sorry about your headache. Hope you feel better soon. Good job on your walk and workout. Looks like we are getting that snow:( I am so sick of snow. The yoga felt good yesterday. My right hip/leg is tight. Need to stretch more.

Sara - Oh, I eat enough protein…I mean with any diet you can over due it, right? I eat enough until I am full, I don't count calories. No protein powered for me right now. I know you can have it with the Gurus.

This morning I will do Plyo HIIT 2 and X10 Step. Both are tough. If I can squeeze in an ab WO, I'll do that too.

WO done - tonight was UBC - but it still gets the LB good, too! Lol! Also got in a short dog walk, more like a ice shuffle at times, we don't salt our sub roads. I like that the days are getting a bit longer, so does the pup.

Belinda - great wo's today. Glad you are still loving XTrain, but I also like how you mix other things in.

Sara - Ambitious wo's today. Did you get in abs, too?

Got in the abs yesterday. Today I am glad too b/c I am scheduled to do LIHI Chest and woke up super tired. I'm not sure how much I'll get through. I'm hoping I'll perk up once I get going.

Hope all of you East Coasters are making out ok in the storm. :)

Today is XT Cardio Leg Bast on my schedule, not sure if I can do that one today? I don't know if I mentioned it here….I hurt my hip last week. I been babying my hip for since Friday. I be doing lots of stretches since Friday. Last night I did DYP Short & Sweet Gentle Stretch = 19 min.

Sherry - great job yesterday. I get bored otherwise. Need to mix it up.

Sara - sorry about your sleep. Have fun with your workout today.

Hi all!

Tonight I decided on running - longer sprints which kept the heart pumping. I've been watching what I eat and measuring everything, but still working towards my goal of 50% protein, 30% carb and 20% fats. For me this is hard work, consciously trying to meet these targets daily. Appetite is down a bit, so not quite hitting it right now.

Belinda - Great wo's today! I"m sure you modified the blasts. How's your hip after all of that? Please take it easy and be careful.

Sara - Did you eot some energy and managed some kind of wo - even if it wasn't the one scheduled? I'm not doing so well on morning wo's so getting them in at night, which is ok for now,

Heidi - Hope you are safe. You are really getting hit hard. ShovelMax definitely in your future, but don't get hurt doing it.

Quick question: have any of you tried to make chocolate pudding with avocado and cocoa powder? Debating whether to try it to settle a chocolate craving.

Dinner's ready - broiled steak - they looked so good at the store, but there's no way we're grilling outside as cold as it is. Hope your dinner was just as delicious. Catch ya tomorrow.

Sherry - hip is doing much better, thanks for asking! All that stretching is helping. You are not running outside? Good job on your eating. I always have to modify high impact.

RWH LBC done - just about did me in. I think I need to eat more in my afternoon snack so I have more energy for this. Getting the wo's in before dinner, especially when there's cardio. Need to rethink my plan. Been much better about measuring portions and tallying up in MFP, however, don't usually finish post 'til the next day, so I don't get that nice comment about being under my calories for the day. :(

Belinda - How are your arms? Love that wo. Glad your hip is better. Not running outside - too icy right now, in addition to freezing temps, so using the tm in the basement, which is more than cold enough.

Waving Hi to Heidi and Sara - hope you both are ok.

Dinner time - crock pot chicken tonight. Making chili again tomorrow - good because we'll be getting some more snow.

Morning all,
Today I'll do LIHI Back. I like that one even though it's longer than the other two. Since I've only been doing strength formally for about a year, I find I'm really enjoying having a stronger back. I can see more definition, but would like to lose 4-5 pounds to see a bit more.

I am Back! Well sort of . Sick now....

Big snow storm over the past few days kept me pretty busy. Major shoveling yesterday plus had to get into work. :/

This morning I am feeling awful and hope it doesn't get worse. I have to get the energy to go to work as well.

No workouts at all this week due to lack of sleep. Although I count shovel max as a big time upper body and back workout!

I will have to catch up on what you all have been doing. Great job if you have been sticking to your routines and eating clean. :)

Off to get moving towards work now.
