Getting Back Into Shape

Cathlete
I am currently 7 months pregnant and I have not been allowed to exercise for almost 5 months. Can anyone suggest a rotation that I can begin once I am allowed to exercise again (which probably won't be until 6 weeks postpartum which would bring me to July)? I will need to lose fat and definitely increase muscle mass and tone. I have the pyramids, Cardio and weights, butts and guts, power hour and timesaver.

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for eating clean? Are there any books or websites that people can recommend? I am trying to eat well now of course but I do slip once in a while.

Thanks for all your suggestions in advance.

I would look at Fitness Freak's or Cathe's rotations. There's a lot of great choices. I just discovered Cathe a couple of months ago, so I didn't used any of these w/o's to lose the weight I gained, but I'm sure any of her w/o's would do the trick.

I have 3 kids and lost the weight I gained in about 4-6 weeks(30 pounds with each pregancy) with running usually around 6 miles or HIIT for 30-45 minutes , taebo, and light weights (I was only using 8-10 pound weights at the time). I didn't really cut my calories or eliminate all the carbs since I was breastfeeding (really helps to loose the weight also) but I did limit my sugar intake.

:)

Congrats on baby! How exciting -- and not much time left!

For clean eating, there is Tosca Reno's Eat Clean Diet as well as Oxygen Mag's new magazine, Clean Eating (got mine at Target).

There are also a couple pregnancy cookbooks that are, of course, very healthy eating. I have 2 that I just pulled off the shelf again (I'm not pregnant, but in my effort to eat healthier, it occured to me that these are filled with nutrient-packed recipes :)). I have Eating for Pregnancy as well as Every Woman's Guide to Eating During Pregnancy. (Sadly, I didn't cook from them much WHILE pregnant, because I was too tired and never felt like eating what I made LOL.)

Thank you for your responses. I am having the same trouble when it comes time to eat the healthy food I just made...it doesn't seem very appetizing yet I used to love it when I was not pregnant. I will have to check out the magazine clean eating. Thanks again.
