getting back into my routine

hello, I was just in the hospital for viral meningitis for a week and was sick prior for a week before I went into the hospital. Ive been out for 5 days from the hospital and have not gone back to work yet, still feeling weak and tired. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting back in my routine for exercise? I want to get back but I also feel like I'm starting all over again and feel discouraged.
Thanks for any help you can offer. Lori

Lori,

Been there, done that . It's hard and I understand feeling discouraged, but you can do this !
Just start slow.......stuff you consider to be your "easy" workouts might be a place to start, or even just a walk around the block at first. Each day you will find you are a little stronger and can do a little more.

Good luck and I hope you feel better very soon .

Becky

Lori,

I know how you feel. Just go slowly and take it one day at a time. You'll be back to your old self in no time at all. You'll have a greater appreciation once get back to being 100%. You'll probably work out harder than ever.

I'm sending healing vibes your way. Take care!

Thanks girls for the encouraging words. I started today and decided to do weights instead of aerobics. I did Muscle Endurance made it through well, only my back hurt. I guess tomorrow I will try aerobics. Thanks again. Lori

Well, I did taebo his first series 1 hr in length tonight. 1 Hr. was a little rough. I didnt think I could make it through any of cathes just yet because of the high impact. Thinking about just doing 30 min. cardio when I do it until I feel my self again. What does anyone else think? Lori

I like to use Jari Love workouts when I'm tired, recovering or bleeding (menses). I find that it is a lot easier than working out with Cathe - with the lighter weight and fewer exercises per body part. It is a very doable workout for those used to Cathe's intensity, but who want to take it down a notch or two. I know some just do not like Jari's workouts. But, it works for me. Edie
