Stacy,
I see no one has answered you yet, probably because it's a tough question. Tae Bo is so different from Cathe, even from Cathe's kickboxing tape, it's hard to compare.
Tae Bo in general has just martial arts moves, with a few dance steps thrown in once in a while as a break. There is no complex choreography, but the workouts are intense because of the intensity of the kicks and punches. The music usually rocks (though I don't like the music in the Get Ripped series as much as some--it's still good, though). I find the Get Ripped tapes are more intense than the Tae Bo live tapes. Billy Blanks is very motivating (though in some tapes he can be a bit too evangelical for my tastes), and at his best in the Get Ripped series. If you haven't done any kickboxing before, Tae Bo advanced is NOT the place to start, though, since you should have a solid background.
Hope this helps a bit.
