Good Morning Girls :)

Today was Circuit Max for me. I had only done this workout once or twice before. It was good, I also liked the plank work at the end. I felt I got a really good shoulders, bicep, tricep workout, but would have liked a few more back/chest excersises. I am now trying to psych myself up for CF tomorrowx(

Marcy~ I am leaning toward the upper body bliss rotation next, I don't want to do the 4 day split, because its close to what the new dvds are. I will also see what Cathe posts.

Gin/Tracee~ Whats on the schedule for today?

Have a good day all,
BBL,

Good morning GDM!

Today was CK for me. Thanks to a very generous person, I now own the videos for CK and CM. I plan on doing CM tomorrow. I liked CK although I was running out of time and fastforwarded through a little bit of it. It was weird to see her have a big group behind her again. The only other video I have where she has that many is Bootcamp.

Gin - I am sore from the KM drills. My hip flexor and outer hip areas are really sore. I'm sure it's not going to help that I just did another kickboxing routine today. ha! Great job on the cardio yesterday and the number of calories burned. Wow! Are you noticing a difference in your body with this rotation?

Marcy - Your predictions for the DWTS lowest two were right on. I was glad to see Josie go although I think she would have shown a lot of improvement over the weeks if given a chance. I wouldn't be sad to see Mark go next, he's too cocky or arrogant for me. I guess you have to be that way to be a millionaire though.

I haven't looked at the rotations yet and I'm not sure what I would like to do next. Maybe back to heavy lifting.

I'm leaving work at noon again today so I'll probably won't get a chance to check in again. Have a great day!!

Hi Girls!

This morning was Mark Blanchard's Progressive Power Yoga: The Foundation from his Sedona series. This was one tough 85-minute practice. The standing section was a whole hour! Floor section was only 25 minutes. I kept saying to myself "when are we going to get down to the floor?". The floorwork was good but definitely not enough for me. I've definitely feeling it now in my neck and upper back. There were a lot of standing splits (which I love), many chaturanga vinyasas and two long sections with one-legged balances. I fell out of crow pose twice. (I need more time to build up into it and he didn't hold these for very long.) There was also a section where he did an explosive lunge into warrior vinyasa (it almost felt like a SLOW plank to chaturanga run from Core Syn). In the shoulder stand, he said if you're advanced to try and move your hands up your thighs (I've never tried that before and it definitely makes a difference, I fell out of it the first time but did better the second time.)

Rotation: I was kind of leaning towards the 4-day split but I'll think about Upper Body Bliss. The 4 day split just felt different than any other kind of rotation I've done and I don't mind doing the same type of rotation for two months (I did the X for 3 months).

Deanie: I thought you had done Circuit Max more than once or twice. I kind of feel that Cathe seems to always put more bicep/chest work than back work. Glad to hear there is good plank work in this one.

Gin/Tracee: Re: DWTS

I figured Josie was probably going to go but I was hoping it would have been Mark first. I thought Josie actually looked okay in her upper body. I guess I was focusing more on that than her feet. Sometimes the camera doesn't show everything and I'm sure the judges see more than we do. Next week is mambo and quick step. Should be very interesting.

Gin: I guess I wouldn't mind a rest week either. I'll have to see how I feel after next week.

Tracee: Those KM drills definitely made me sore. I would suggest doing either a Stretch Max or yoga to help stretch you out. I definitely need a good, long stretch after the drills.

Hey guys

I just want to jump in real quick... I will do the 4 day split if thats what you all decide. I does look good, I just wanted to do the "new" 4 day split as a "new" rotation. Does that make sense???:) :p

Gin~ Hope you are having a good day!

Marcy~ I've heard alot about Marc Blanchard, he's supposed to be like David Swenson, from what I've read. Is that the case? I actually enjoy the standing and balanceing poses more than the floor work.

Tracee~ My favorite part of CK is when she calls the cute guys up front with her! Then I know its almost over. I think those drills are hard :)

Hi Again!

Deanie - I agree about CK and the guys and I really like the drills. They're different than KPC and KM. They actually remind me of some of the drills in Kenpo X from P90X. I think I really am leaning towards the 4 day split. I haven't done S&H in quite a while and I still haven't done PS so it will be a nice shock to my body. Here's another rotation I've done that was good (actually it was my first true Cathe rotation):

http://69.0.137.118/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=7&topic_id=5019&mesg_id=5019&page=2

He's kind of like David Swenson although I like David's practices a little better. The one I did this morning was intense (moreso than the Vol. 3 that I did from his Trilogy Series.) I liked Foundation better. This is more intense than David's 45 mins. intermediate practice in short forms. I would rate the difficulty as more like his 2nd series although David had more floor work and arm balances. Mark had one arm balance in the beginning that was held a little long and crow pose. Other than that, he held the pose down in plank by the elbows a lot when doing the chaturanga vinyasas. I can tell you my legs were getting really tired by the end of the standing work and I was so grateful to get down to the floor. He had some twisting poses but David has more. He did backbend, shoulder stand, plow, forward bends on the floor, seated hamstring stretch and a couple of other poses. No real core work here. Here's what standing work consisted of:

Mountain, Standing forward bend, chaturangas, chair, one-legged down dog, Warrior 1, 2 and 3, triangle, reverse triangle, side plank, standing side bends/openings, standing folding twist, crow, crescent, leg balances, standing splits, half moon, reverse half moon, tree, eagle, standing backbends, Dancer's Pose, Reverse Dancer's Pose.

Funny, the above rotation was on my short list :) ~ still waiting to see what Oct. rotation Cathe lists ~ but I'm good with the 4 day split or the above. Whatever you all choose! :)

Hi Ladies!
I am just now posting b/c my computer wasn't working this morning. I did post last night, if you saw it.
I did LIC this morning. And did remember to use the 8" step.:)

Deanie--Glad you enjoyed CM. I thought it was a good one too and I never hear anything about it or see it in the rotations.

Tracee--I have not noticed a difference in my body, but then my eating has not been the best.:-( I think I have lost some muscle definition though. Enjoy your half day off.

Marcy--Sounds like a tough yoga workout you did today. I am also leaning toward the 4 day split and like the rotation you posted today also. I would like to see what Cathe has for October. I would really like to take a rest week after this, even if you guys don't want to. I have been quite tired and am teetering on the brink of workout burnout, which doesn't happen to me very often.

Have to go back up to school in a couple of hours. We have Open House tonight.

Gin:)

Hi Again!

Gin - Don't worry. I make sure to check all posts from the day before. I don't see CM too much in the rotations either. Maybe she has it in some of the older rotations that I haven't looked at. It definitely was a tough yoga workout today. I'm still feeling it and wish I was getting a massage right about now. I would definitely say you should take a rest week. We all need one from time to time (although I don't think I've ever taken a complete rest week, even when I was sick.) I would also like to see what Cathe has for October. So how was it working on 8"? I hope your Open House goes well tonight.
