Good Morning :)

Today was BC. This was a lot harder today than last week when I just did the cardio:) The weight work was really good. I followed Cathe for everything except 3 excersises: I did the BB crazy 8's with 30# and the hanging concentration curls with 15# (I will use 17# next week) and the pyramid up curls with DB I used 15 and 17# (I did 2 reps with 20# and it was too hard!) The cardio was fun and hard especially after the weight work, but I did all the drills full out!!! and although there was no official ab work, I felt alot of the drills in my abs.

I am home today with DS11. He came home from outdoor ed with pink eye!!! I am in the house for 24 hours!!!ugh!x( The worst part is, I am sure it will be going thru the house this coming week, and we have a baz mitzvah to go to in Jersey next weekend!!

Gin~ is today a rest day for you? I'm wondering if we posted the same time today since I'm on late for me.:)

Marcy/Tracee~ What did you guys do today?

Next week I will be doing week 1 again so I can be off for the weekend. I really enjoyed this first week, I'm not sure if I will be doing cardio tomorrow or not. If I do I will be doing HIIT, I like the level I've been at and I don't want to loose any ground.

Have a great day :)

BBL,

Good Morning DMt!

Today was Step Heat abs (from Ab Hits) and then 3 mile run, then Stretch Max3 (with band...my fav!). I posted late yesterday. I did end up doing BC late yesterday aft. It was good. That workout feels like when you were a kid and you just played, or maybe PE class as a kid!:) Cathe fooled me the first time with the extra pushups at the very end, but she won't fool me again!!;-) I knew they were coming!

Deanie--Sorry about ds's pink eye. I would love to HAVE to stay home though! Great job with your workout! I think I may have to do BC with cardio first next week. I would like to do BC then DM drills at some point...fun? I know what you mean about the HIIT on the TM, that's why I don't want to stop running, then you have to start all over again!!x(

Marcy/Tracee--What workout today and for the weekend?

We are going to visit ds for college Parent's Weekend tomorrow. Can't wait!

Have a great day!
Gin:)

Good morning ladies.

I have officially made BC my favorite workout of this series. I was so pumped and energized after doing it this morning. I did weights first and found it very challenging. I was lighter than Cathe on most sets partly because I don't have the heavier weights and partly because I can't maintain such heavy weights for that many exercises.

Gin - How fun that you are going to parents weekend. How far do you have to travel? Cathe fooled me on the pushups too. I started out not liking that drill because I didn't know how many pushups were coming but then she establised that pattern and it was better.

Deanie - Sorry you are under quarantene(sp?). I hope the rest of the family doesn't catch it. Good job on BC today. Are you seeing increases in your muscles or are you about the same?

Marcy - Are you doing extra cardio work this week or stretching?

The school is going to test ds#2 on Monday and hopefully he will qualify to get the help he needs. He's gotten extra help in the past two years so it's kind of annoying that they didn't test him right away this year to get him started earlier. Otherwise we might be on our own and have to get a private tutor to help. It is hard for us to help him because he gets so made at us. It's all I can do just to get basic homework done some evenings.

Have a great Friday. It's going to be a quiet weekend for us. I have a few parties to go to but nothing too bad.

Good Morning Ladies!

This morning was HIS/Chest & Back. I did the weights first premix but got up too late so wound up not doing HIS which I will hopefully fit in tonight. I really liked the exercises in this. Here are my stats for Chest/Back:

One Arm DB Row (warmup set): 13#
One Arm DB Row: 33#
One Arm DB Row: 33#
Underhand Row BB: 62# - I was really proud of myself on this one. I didn't think I could go this heavy. A new milestone!
Chest Flyes: 23#
Underhand Row BB: 62#
Chest Flyes: 23#
One Arm Row (wide flye) 23# - will go heavier next time
Incline Pullovers: 23#
DB Incline Press: 25#
I really liked the T-Band Flyes - they got in there good. I also like the pushups around the clock although I had to adjust my feet a little here and there. This is probably my favorite workout of the series although I'm happy with all of them. I'm very impressed with this series and feel I'll make good progress because of the push/pull method.

Deanie - Sorry about DS's pink eye. I'm sure he'll be fine by next week (I hope no one else catches it.) I think I'm going to stick with Week 1 too. It fits my schedule better and it all works out to the same anyway.

Gin - Enjoy your visit with DS! Is he in-state or out of state? How did you sleep last night?

Tracee - Glad you had a good workout today. After all your troubles, you needed it. I might do some pilates this weekend if I get the chance. I'd like to do HIS step and SM1 or 2 tonight if possible. I feel for you with DS. I had many nights of homework until 11:00.
