Good Morning Girls :)

Today was PS legs. What a great leg workout. I like this one better than GS! I really felt it during the workout, I wonder if I will have DOMs tomorrow?? :) I did the same weights as Cathe, since I can't remember the last time I did this workout. I was running late, and skipped the abs today (but not the stretch). I will tack on abs to tomorrows Cardio Fusion.

Gin~ How was DM? What was it about PS you didn't like? just curious. By the way, your pancakes have become a staple in our household~ we love them! thank you for the recipie.

Marcy/Tracee~ I hope you guys had a good workout today. Did you do PS or something else? I think the leg workout was more endurance than strength.

Have a great day all! BBL,

Deanie

Good Morning!

Today was DM cardio only and I was going to run, but it started raining so I decided to tack on LIS cardio only. I burned a total of 605 calories. LIS is fun, if I can just get down all of the moves!! I guess because it is only 39 min., she doesn't break down the steps too much.

Wish me good luck today....the NAEYC validator comes to observe our school for our re-accreditation. Today and tomorrow!

Deanie--Glad you enjoyed PS legs. Not sure why it wasn't my favorite. Maybe I need to give PS another chance next week! Maybe I thought I wasn't working hard enough?? I WAS sore the next day, though. So glad you like the pancakes. I used to love to spread p.b. on them....yum! But, I quit eating p.b.:-(

Tracee and Marcy--Hope you both had a good weekend and good workout today!

Good Morning Ladies!

I'll start with yesterday. I did about 10 minutes of Higher Intensity Step (which was good until DH came down out of the shower) and later on I did about 10 minutes of Yoga Journal's Balance Poses (which was also good until DH woke up from his nap). Today was Pure Strength Back & Biceps and PUB Abs and Stretch. Here are my stats:

Back:

T-Bar Row - S1 - 45#, Sets 2&3 - 52# (could probably go a little higher, I just wasn't feeling it with this exercise.)
Bent Over Rows - All sets 52# (I must be getting really strong because I've never gone this high with my weight.:))
1 arm rows - 33# - all sets (will stay at this weight - last 2 reps were tough.)
Shrugs - S1 (8#); S2 (10# - I wasn't feeling anything with 8#). This is one of those exercises I don't know why I do it, along with upright rows. They just don't feel like they do anything for me.
I also did chinups/pullups today but miss doing them as part of the workout like in P90X.

Bis:

Barbell Curls - 36# both sets
Alternating Seated Hammer Curls - 12# both sets - I definitely felt it more the second set when we did the twist at the top.
Negative Curls - S1 - 36# 8 reps, S2 - 36# 8 1/2 reps
Concentration Curls - Set 1 - 12# L arm - 10 reps R arm - 11 reps
Set 2 - 12# - both arms 12 reps

PUB abs were still tough. Had to stop a couple of times between pikes and lifting legs off ball. I plan on doing at least one of Cathe's new ab workouts this week. I want to preview the abs from Kickbox before I decide. I don't know if I'll be doing PS again next week (will decide after doing CS&T), if not I'll do another week of S&H which has been going really well for me.

Deanie - Congrats on DS's grand slam!:) It's also nice he earned community service hours at school. No open house this week. We needed a break. I got my nails done Saturday and yesterday we went on a motorcycle run. It was a tombstone run where you get a route and have to go to different cemeteries to get answers to clues they give you. It was a nice 100-mile run to benefit the veterans.

Gin - I'm really glad Cathe doesn't break down the steps too much, otherwise I'd get bored. I thought she did the steps enough times so that you should be able to pick it up after a few tries. Once you learn it, you're probably not going to want the breakdown. I'm really happy with LIS. I hear the 3rd combo in HIS is pretty tricky but I haven't been able to see that one yet. Are you sleeping any better?

Tracee - Hope you had a great workout.

Marcy

Gin - Forgot to say good luck with the accreditation. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
