Good Morning GMT :)

Today was 40 min. on the treadmill (I did a steady state run) and SM3. I love the stretches with the band! And it works perfect for me after the treadmill, that way I know I'm getting a good stretch.

Today I have coffee~max with friends at 9, and bookclub~max at 12:30. Both at the same caribou coffee place!!! ha ha! And I don't even drink coffee!!:)

Gin~ Have a great weekend with your parents. I'm thinking your mom is doing well, and this is the best kind of visit: just enjoying each others company.

Marcy~ SJP today?

Tracee~ I tried to sleep in today, and thought of you, but once the alarm woke me up, my mind was racing, and there was no sleeping in for me~ I did try!!:)

Good Morning!

Today was 3 mile run and then Stretch Max with stability ball. My fav SM is also the one with the band.
I plan on doing CM and yoga while in Houston. I previewed CM last night and it looks like a good one (aren't they all?). I have not ever done CM before. It just requires a step and set of 5 and 8# weights. Half of the cardio is hi/lo, half on step, and weights are all compound using upper and lower movements together.

Deanie--Enjoy your CoffeeMax with friends. I don't drink coffee either. What book are you reading? I guess you don't work today? Yes, my mom is doing well. You are so sweet and and it will be a good visit. DS is driving down with me.:)

Marcy--You asked me how long I have been running. About 9 years. I probably told you already, but I used to run 6 days a week/about 30 miles a week (for years!) and during the last couple of years I kept getting injured so I have cut it way down. I still love it, but think it is much better for you to mix the various types of cardio up.

Hi GMD!

Today was SJP for me although it was more SP than J. :) I don't have time for more than about 50 to 55 minutes of exercise these days so I had to choose a premix. I picked the step and weights circuit one. I think one of you mentioned yesterday that you didn't think the weight portion in this one was too bad. Wow! I thought I was going to quit on almost every one. Did you guys notice how light Cedie's weights were in this one. She has come a long way because now she does the same as Cathe. I also like the music in this one so I think I'm going to have to use it more when I'm looking for a substitution.

Deanie - Enjoy Yom Kippur (sp?). I don't know what is involved but it sounds like you really enjoy all the different holidays/celebrations so that's exciting.

Gin - Do you think you'll ever get back to running longer again or do you think your body is telling you that less is better? Enjoy your visit with your mom and the drive with your ds. How nice to be able to spend time with both of them.

Marcy - Did you do SJP today or one of your other ones.

Hi DGT!

Today was Boot Camp for me. I don't get to do this one as much as I'd like. I like that it has a lot of kickboxing in it. The jacks and terminator climbers were the toughest cardio for me but I made it through. I only used 10# dumbbells for leg work (8# on leg presses). Used 40# for barbell rows and the rest I used the same weights as Cathe. My alarm went off at 5:30 and I said to myself if I don't get up now, my morning is shot. I danced last night but left a few minutes earlier so I could get up this morning.

Deanie - Sounds like a fun Friday. I'm one of those that drinks coffee. Not a lot (usually only one cup a day). Since you're all drooling over SM3, I guess I'll have to try it this weekend.

Gin - You're inspiring me to try running again but I just don't feel comfortable running in the dark. I only have time to exercise in the early morning and now it's getting dark out so I don't know when I'll be able to. My DD called me yesterday and told me she got a job at a dance studio -- it turns out it's the same one where Cameron Mathison is training for DWTS! She met him and said is eyes were even bluer in person and he was very friendly. She also gets free dance classes. Also, Louis Van Amstel and Karina Smirnoff are teachers there as well. I'm so jealous now.}( I can't wait till the show starts on Monday. It's on for 3 nights next week. CM sounds like I'm really going to like it. I love compound weight exercises and it sounds like minimal equipment which makes the workout go so much faster. Hope you have a great visit with your mom.

Tracee - I didn't notice how much weight Cedie lifted in SJP but she really slimmed down from Boot Camp until now. She looks great.
