Gaining Weight...HELP!!

Cathlete
I am 11 pounds heavier than I was in January!!! Granted I have not been as strict as I usually am dietwise. OKAY, but now I am watching it and the weight is not budging one bit (it loves me and does not want to leave)

I lost 30 pounds several years ago but can't not get this off!!! I followed Cathe's June and July rotations pretty good. So workouts have not slacked too, too much. I DO think that maybe a pound or two is muscle since I can see a bit more definition in my arms from the June rotation.

I am 5'1" and weigh 126 right now. I need some advice, help, motivation, maybe I just need to vent. Anyone know of a kickstart???

Thanks, Sharon

Hi Sharon,

I find that journalizing what I eat really helps!! I lost 12 pounds doing this. I do it on Weight Watchers Online. They have a really easy journalizing process, but you can do this on your own too. If you really write down every last bit that goes in your mouth, it makes a huge difference. Portions are a big deal too.

Just try it for a week and see what happens. :D

Good luck!

Hi Sharon,

I am doing the Body for Life program and have been following the diet for 8 weeks now along with Cathe's workouts. I love this program, and it really motivated me to be strict with myself and stick to my workouts and eat clean. I have seen alot of great results and more muscle definition than I ever have before and I have been working out for a long time. Just a suggestion!! I think any time you start a new diet or program, its something new to keep things fresh and exciting.

Good Luck!

I'm using a program called Diet Organizer, which I bought when a couple people here said that was what they use. My workout habits are great, but my eating habits leave a lot to be desired. Also, I wanted to find out exactly what my metabolic rate is and exactly how little I have to eat to lose weight (or how much I can eat and still lose weight.) It takes some discipline to log everything, but I figure if I can spend an hour and a half working out, I can spend 10 minutes journaling and analyzing. (I love charts!)

Oh, yes, and measure your foods for a while (and watch out for "individual" packs of food, which often have two or three servings, not the one that we would assume.)
