Does anyone know the scoop on Fructose?? I know that I have been eating a lot of fruit and I seem to have put on a few pounds. I seem to remember reading that there is a reason why fruit which contains a lot of fructose will do this.
Its been said that eating fruits that are low on the glycemic list are best; such as all the berries, peaches, apricots, apples & pears. Fruits such as melons, grapes, kiwis are high on the list & will spike your insulin. I personally eat whatever fruit I like I don't pay attention to this; fruit of all kinds are nutritious & should be eaten every day. High fructose corn syrup should not be consumed. If you check your labels, you'll discover its in everything. This will make you put on weight. Otherwise, enjoy the summer months of all the fruit that's available. HTH, Kathy
I agree, added fructose is a problem but the natural sugars of fruits are fine. Avoid processed foods. Hit those veggies and natural fruits to satisfy the sweet tooth and you'll see great results!
