Front row at the Inauguration!!

That's very cool. I'm jealous. I would love to be there, but I can only imagine the mad house it's going to be.

Wow...can you imagine what the energy of the crowd will be like? It'll be supercharged! I would love to be able to be there!

Jo :)

I'm having my kids stay home from school and some friends from the hospital oming over for lunch and to watch.....with his team turning out to be SOOO diverse, fiscally responsible (Paul Volcker?!He came in with Reagan, when I was in college!), its a new era welcoming back rational thought, debate, appreciation for intellect and REASON.....

Wanted to do something Lincoln-ish for lunch, but fresh shot quail, fresh water fish and rutabagers are out of my league....

I must remember to set my DVR to record it- I think it is during preschool pick up / drop off and I cannot miss seeing it!

Hey Debbie! I live in Northern Virginia now, but I grew up in Dover from kindergarden through high school, mostly at Dover Air Force Base. I left at 19 when I joined the Navy. I hardly ever meet anyone form Delaware, even though it's basically right next door! Where are you??

I live in outside of Newark. I am originally from Wisconsin but moved out here about 20 years ago.

Are you still in the Navy?

Hey, I know Newark! :D It was a big deal for us to go shopping there or in Wilmington as a kid, since all Dover had then was the "Blue Hen Mall"! Dover hasn't gotten much more since then, unless you count the slots.

Nope, not in the Navy anymore, now I'm a a dreaded government employee, but I'm the kind that works! ;)

Hi GovtGirl. Kudos to your brother for getting to go to the Inauguration. I'll be interested in hearing about his travel logistics after all is over. Is he staying in the DC for the duration or travelling in tomorrow?

I live in Stafford, VA and cannot get to work tomorrow because I-395 will be closed starting at 00-dark-thirty. Instead, my place of business is testing their emergency off-site work procedures. Lucky me--have computer, can work anywhere.

How exciting! A co-worker got an invitation and brought it into work. It. Is. BEAUTIFUL!!!

She can't go, though. I'm just glad I'll be home to watch on tv.

I wish I could watch it live, but I have to work. :( I plan on watching it on youtube after work. I'm sure it'll be on there this afternoon. :)

My brother just called me, the bus stopped at Cracker Barrel for dinner on the way back. :p He and the other reporters went with the university band that marched in the parade, so he got into DC no problem. He said then it took him about 45 minutes to wait for the metro, then he hot-footed it to the seating area.

It was funny, because he was going against the crowd on his way to the front, people were saying "hey buddy you're going the wrong way!" He just smiled and said, "Nope, I know exactly where I'm going!" :D

He said he was seated at kind of an angle from the podium but still got pictures of Obama, Biden, Bush, Oprah, and Denzel Washington, and more!

really pretty cool! :) And he told me about the souvenir invitation, I can't wait to see it!

Hey Govtgirl, very cool about your brother!! I got a very good seat when Clinton was inaugurated in...1993 (I was 11 years old!) and it was awesome to be there, I can't imagine what today would have been like. VERY COOL!

By the way, I live in Harrisonburg, VA, where in NoVa are you??
