Today is a national holiday here in the Netherlands, we celebrate our queen's birthday. :+

It was my last run before Sunday's race. I ran 1K, then did 4 100m intervals, and repeated 6 times. I feel great. I just love to run!

I actually ran my fastest 1K ever today: a glorious 5:45minutes. Two weeks ago it was still 7:39minutes. Gives me hope that I can do Sundays 5K in approx. 32 minutes or less. If my running buddy doesn't slow me down.... We'll see.

And after a chat with my neighbours, added S&H shoulders, BC abs and a good long stretch

Sounds like you are doing quite well Dutchie. I wish you good luck on your race! Today for me either The Gaunlet or The Viper off the Terminator DVD. I had tried some intervals myself yesterday while running. But I think from my other 2 HIIT workouts my legs were a bit tired...:)...let us know how the race goes...:)...Carole
 
Dutchie, sounds like you are ready, have a great race!!

I did Chest, Shoulder, Triceps and Abs off of Slow and Heavy for Chest, All Step for shoulders and abs and PS for Triceps. I am down another half a pound so I am only 4.5 pounds from goal!!! YIPEEE FOR ME!!!!!!!:7 :D

Thanks Carole, how are you preparing for your race this Sunday? Hope you have a good race too, your way ahead of me anyway:) :)

I'll be running at 2PM which would be like 7AM in your area?? What time do you run?

Thanks Annette, just running and finishing makes it a great race, whatever my time will be :)

And another YIPPEEE for your weight loss.... wish I could say the same. Am stuck with the same 10 pounds for over 18months now. What's your secret?

Hello gang!

I can hardly wait for those race reports! Today I took my dog for a long walk to the park I used to run.... probably I put a few thousand miles of running into that park in the past ten years. Oh well...:( :( Anyway, I had a real good workout today:
30 min mixed cardio - moderate intensity
PUB abs, shoulders and triceps
KPC abs
CTX shoulders and triceps
Bodymax abs shoulders and triceps

Another bad hair day is coming up due to lack of hair drying!

I am low carbing, actually more moderate carbing, I still have fruit and on occasion some whole wheat crackers. But I am staying away from white flour, sugar,pasta and rice. No bread or bread products. I had to add back in fruit after doing the Atkins Induction for 2 weeks with my dh who in still doing Atkins. He has lost 43 pounds and I have lost 20.5 pounds with 16.5 of that being in the first 17 days of the diet, I lost waaaaaaaaaay tooo fast so I added back in some carbs. I was also light headed and had no strength for my workouts which didn't work for me.

I am losing very slowly but since I am in the size of clothes that was my goal I am not fretting with the slow losing thing.

I have prepared by not running alot this week. I am looking forward to it as the Redwoods on the Calif coast are beautiful! My run starts at 9:00 AM so that would be 4 PM for your area? My sister and another friend are doing the 10K, I am the only crazy one doing the half marathon!...I'll let you guys know how it goes...and Annette, keep up the good work...:)...Carole
