Good morning! Today I did HSTA, and really enjoyed it. It was exactly what I needed for today.

Going to keep it short and sweet today. I hope everyone has a good workout.

Good morning everyone!

I did IMAX2 and PUB abs yesterday and boy was I fried at the end, those pikes really got me good}( }( !! The good news??? I was able to do almost all of them...wooooo:D! Now that was a head rush...I'm so proud of myself!

Sandra....Today will be my off day instead of Sunday because I'm soo exhausted, so I'm gonna listen to my body. You know come to think of it I don't think I took a rest day last week so no wonder I'm feeling like a train wreckx( ! I will do HSTA tomorrow and KPC/SB/SJP combo on Sunday:D

Hi good morning . ¡Arrrgh¡ my hamstrings and legs are so sore. I started yesterday the august rotation 2004. I did legs and glutes and the cardio premix of KPC (37 minutes) to substitute the 20 minutes of run. Today I will do ME. I loove this workout. I hope you will have a great weekend. Good morning!

Today I did MIS (some modifications like walking lunges as opposed to stationary and no deadlifts which hurt my back since surgery), extra abs (Seasun Zieger planks-ooh ouch), bellydance (my preferred stretching) and later this pm is CM. I looove CM after weights. The next day my muscles are very sore because and I like that feeling. Yesterday, I did The Next Step by Seasun Zieger and I like it better than RSS. Christi's new DVD was a disappointment that I was reluctant to order The Next Step, but I love it and I am glad that I did.

Fiddlefit: Ahh, no I am not Canadian (proud to be a US citizen) but I like Canada and the people very much. You would be surprised how many people are either from the US and living in Canada temporarily or dual citizens. I was really surprised.
 
Hey ya'll! I hope eveyone is feeling spunky today! i have to do lower body and some cardio that i haven't decided yet...maybe SB b/c it's so fun! Everone have a great weekend!

Hey All! Today I had an AWESOME! workout. I did IMAX2 first 5 intervals then CTX power circuit segment and finished with the rest of IMAX2, whoa Nelly!!! great all around workout. I'll do this one again, it was intense and a lot of fun.

I'm being neurotic about which DVD's to order. I have all of Cathe's VHS stuff but love the ease and variety of using DVD's. I want to spend about $150.00 so.....either MIC, Rhythmic step & IMAX -plus -MIS, PH & BodyMax OR the Intensity series....I am so curious about the BootCamp premixes but the value and variety of the first two appeal to me as well.....I need to decide before Hardcore so that I can get the extra 10% off from CK Sales, any opinions are greatly appreciated:).

Laurie, If you already have the RH+ and PH+ workouts on VHS, I would recommend you spend your money on the IS dvds. The RH+ and PH+ workouts are not nearly as finely chaptered as the IS, and there are no Cathe-made premixes on them. Their isn't a whole lot you can do the RH+ and PH+ dvds that you can't already do with the tapes. IS, on the other hand, has Gotta-have premixes, and are so finely chaptered you can do a lot of creative things, which you are obviously into. Loved your workout today! Sounds like a quad-burner!

Sandy, SJP is NOT on the list for Sunday! Just KPC and SB combos, followed by ME lower body premix, if you have the energy and time for it. Don't overdo it! And I think you made a good decision taking the day off if you're feeling tired.

Mariángeles, I'm very interested in following your progress on the August rotation, so please keep me posted as to how you're doing. It's a toughie; has me a bit intimidated.

Suzanne, I grew up near the border in Ontario, so I'm very aware of the amount of "cross-contamination" there is on either side LOL ! We used to go for afternoon shopping trips in Port Huron, and some of the best, greasiest fried chicken I've ever found. My grandmother was US-born, so most of my plentiful aunts and uncles have been granted dual citizenship as well. It allows them to winter in the south :)

Jes, enjoy that lower body work, and have fun with SB. Your legs should be nice and toasty after that! And maybe all that iron in your blood from supper last night will give you an extra boost.

Hi Ladies,

I will be resting today and I will also start my carboloading for Sunday's Marathon. Tomorrow I will run 3 miles at an easy pace just to get my legs ready. Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi everyone,
This morning I did 10-10-10 cardio only and All Step cardio only. I was in the mood for cardio but still not overly energetic-oh, well something is better than nothing.

Tonight, I have a Christmas party with the girls from work - Hope I feel ok for tomorrow}( - I have a big workout planned!

Mariángeles-that's pretty daring doing ME when your hamstrings and legs are sore - Be careful. I agree, that is a great workout.

Laurie- I too am switching to DVD's-only a few left to get:)I agree with Sandra, if I were you I'd go for IS on DVD so you can have the premixes. The MIC, Rhythmic step & IMAX -and -MIS, PH & BodyMax
don't have any premixes and I do them "as is" anyway so the VHS are fine for now. Just my opinion but I hope that helps.

how do you ladies find so much time to do all these workouts in one day? i get up at 4:30 as it is.. and i'm still late for work! (uh oh!)
 
Hi all. A little late checking in today. I didn't have much time this morning so I did Timesaver leg workout. I haven't done this workout in a long time and was surprised at how much easier it seemed today. Hopefully that means I'm getting stronger. :D
Tomorrow is my day off and my husband and I are celebrating our anniversary. My little girl is spending the night for the first time at Grandma and Grandpa's. We'll see how that goes. My husband thinks I won't get any sleep not having her in the house. Amazing how attached we get to those little ones.

I'm new to the forum and was wondering just how this 'check-in' works?

It seems like a really good way to be held accountable to get the "job" done!!

I'm trying really hard to take my fitness to a higher level, which is really hard to do without support. Do you guys mind if I join in?

Hi Lisa! The check in is open to everyone - Welcome to you!! Whoever gets around to it first each day is whoever starts the thread; it's usually not me. It's a fairly regular crowd that checks in everyday. Some people seem to just like to post what they've done; others (ahem) like to be a bit more chatty. We'll do our best to help you take your fitness to the next level! If you've got specific goals, let us know and we'll try to help!

Katie, how does that workout compare to LG in its entirity? I've never done the TimeSaver version, but it strikes me as being harder, because you've got the SJP barbell work thrown in, as well as some bonus work.

It's tough being away from the little ones, isn't it? If you're celebrating your anniversary, then I hope it isn't worrying about your daughter that keeps you up all night :-D

Sandra....oh yeah, I know I just forgot to write the word core, LOL!! I know I'm a little wacky but that's a bit much:7 !! Yeah I have to take a break...but then there is holiday stuff to get ready, shopping to do...aughhh!! I'm trying to get a little decorating out of the way tonight so I can really work my bum off tomorrow}( I put up the garland on the staircase without blowing a gasket so that's good:p

Today I will make my rest day...since I didn't get anything accomplished as far as exercise anyway. But, I'm highly motivated to keep up with you guys!!

That is exactly why I joined this thread...it makes me accountable for my workouts:)! I'm telling you it works! I too am trying to play "catch up" and add to my cathe collection! What workouts do you have so far?
 
Hey Gang! Sandra and Wendy, Intensity Series it is!! Thanks so much for your input,you Rock!:) Wendy, 10-10-10 and All Step cardio, that's no slouch of a workout especially from someone not feeling overly energetic! Nice job, hope you perk up some more real soon! Sandra, we just got our first snow here in Kingston today, about 3-4 centimetres! That's really late eh? Have you had much out your way? I'm such a freak that I actually like the arm and olblique work that I get when I shovel the driveway}(

Katie, that's awesome that after all of your hard work Timesaver legs has gotten easier! I've only done it once and didn't quite settle into those dynamic one legged squat things that they do.

I teach my 2 classes tomorrow then we're off to the In-law's (about an hour away)for early Christmas:). They are like parents to me and I love them a lot, my Mother-in-law is 78 and has always been active (she did a headstand in my living room when she was 74) the past 6 months we thought she was showing signs of Alzheimer's but we just found out today that it's a malignant mass in her sinuses:( I'm sad tonight but happy that we'll all be together tomorrow.

I'm so happy to have found 'cathe and her website'. I've been looking for 'years' for an exercise partner to help motivate me (and they sure are hard to find). Now I have all of you guys :7 :7

Right now all I have is the CTX series. I picked one of Cathe's rotations and just made it work with what I have. After the holidays ($$) I hope to order the body blast series. I'm also looking on ebay for the older tapes.
