Freestyle Training for the Upper body

I just ordered the Freestyle book and i can't wait for it to come. I have already started training this way for my LB and I am beginning to see some progress. My question is what would happen if you applied the fs training to the up by doing like tricep dips daily and push ups and maybe dumbell punches? Would you lose any definition that you have or would you just get sleeker more toned arms?

I did try the Freestyle concept with my upper body...I'd pick one part and work it with light weight and alot of reps 5 days a week. I didn't notice much difference...heavy lifting works better on my upper body for me...:)

Do you work your abs daily too? for how long? How long do y ou work your LB daily? I am sure the book will answer many of my questions. If I did heavy LB work one day the day2 did no weight LB work and just kept alternating that cycle would that be freestyle and would I see progress?

I work my abs 3-4 times a week. Freestyle is abs 4-6 times a week. NO, if you do heavy, that is NOT Freestyle. Freestyle is 4-6 days of high reps and light weights. I did it for about 8 months with good results. Now though I want to focus on my upper body and running so my LB work has gone back to 3 days a week. Give Freestlye a chance...try for about 8 weeks...dedicated, before you move on...:)

Did you lose a good amount of inches off your thighs doing freestyle? My thighs are around 23" and I'd loke for them to be 21" or less. I have been doing really heavy weight for my LB for the past year. They have a good tone but too much mass. Doesn't freestyle say to work your abs daily or anything that you want to reduce. I am still waiting on the book. The author George Snyder emailed me and told me that he was on vacation in CA and that he'd ship the book out as soon as he got back. NIce guy. Are you trained in fs? I'd love to be but I have 2 kids and live in GA so it would be sort of hard. I am hoping that just reading the book will enable me to help others.

I am actually focusing on my upper body and lower at the same time. Upper every other day and lower daily with freestyle- do you think that's too much? Thanks for your input!

Freestyle does work your abs like legs 4-6 times a week. I never did measure my thighs...but I think I lost about an inch depending on how things fit. I have done Freestyle about 8 months, so trained yes, if you mean certified NO..I think the way you are doing it now is fine. As long as you have the time then you should give it a try...:)
