Hi Ladies,

Did you all have a nice weekend? Mine was great. I officially started the freestyle training yesterday. I did an hour run and L&G. Felt awesome. My goals is to get in at least 4 lower body workouts this week, maybe 5. I will do mostly running for the cardio.

Tonight I plan on another run and Leaner Legs...

Thanks for all the info Candi. I am going to order the book too.

Have a great day!!!

Beverly

Good Morning everyone!

How are you guys doing?

Saturday I did Powerstrike 1, 40 minutes
PUB, 40 minutes

Sunday I did L&G Standing, 30 minutes
Lotte Berk HipHugger Abs, 20 minutes

Had to be at work by 7 this morning so I will workout tonight when I get home. I believe I have MIC and PLB scheduled.

Morning ladies,

Did you guys have a nice relaxing weekend? I did. Enjoyed every single moment.

Beverly, which did you do first, run or L&G?

Yesterday, I did Abs, MIS lower body and 6 miles walk/run. Eating was out of control Saturday, not to bad, but I’m back on track today.

Tonight, I’m planning to do Legs & Glutes and for cardio. I may try to walk/run for 30 minutes, providing it doesn’t rain. I can really tell in my lower that the running is really slimming me. So different from running on my treadmill, it’s a much better workout, and I’m really enjoying it. Reminds me of the old times. I’m going to have a perfect week, going to continue with water, and not eating after 7pm. Well, guys talk to you later.

Well, this morning I did my AB work, then I did the ultimate leg workout from the Freestyle Training book, WOW ... next is cardio on stationary bike....... happy workouts all .. Rhonda:7

Hi Guys....Today I am going to do PH, and KPC conditioning drills for cardio. Tomorrow I will do the awful Leg Press Mania, and some kind of short cardio. Talk to you tomorrow.
Lori

Good Day Everyone,

Sounds like we are all on track for this week. I am considering this week one since it will be the first full week. I need results so I'm going all out for this rotation. My eating is pretty good since I follow the ww points system.
Saturday I did PP lower body 3 times-no cardio though.
Sunday was The Gauntlet-I'm counting that since it has cardio and plenty of squats, lunges, plie squats, and deadlifts.
Monday AM-Kick, Punch & Crunch. Lunch will be- to the gym for 30 min squats, lunges, plie squats, and deadlifts and 30 min on the elliptical trainer.
I may go ahead and order the book also, sounds like it contains valuable information we could use now.

Do any of you have suggestions-I really need, yes need to do cardio in the morning-some people drink coffee, I need to do cardio. I'm just wondering if doing cardio in am and wts in the pm counts as freestyle training. Tomorrow I will try to do MIS legs only section and MIC hi/lo only. That should be about an hour and will get me movin' in the morning!!

Have a great day everyone.

Diana

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to add in that I did the following exercises (3 sets of 16):

squats w/55lb barbell
lunges w/55lb barbell
plie squats w/45 dumbbell
deadlifts w/45lb barbell

Then I went on to do 20 min on the elliptical trainer. My back end was fried-could really feel it on the ellipt. machine. Must be working:)

I didn't think my legs could handle daily wt training-never tried it before, and the cardio afterwards seem to keep the muscles from tightening up and becoming sore. I can definitely feel they are worked, but not really sore. A good feeling.

Talk to you all tomorrow.

WOW!!!! Lunges w/ a 55 lb. barbell?? Those are so hard, I could never do them with that weight, and I used to consider myself kinda strong?? I could do the squats, but not the lunges.

Yesterday I did PH and KPC conditioning drills. I never realized how long those squats in PH lasted??!! My buns are sore today. I think the Gauntlet sounds like a great workout!!! Maybe I will try that tomorrow, today I need a heavy workout since I did PH yesterday. I think I will do L&G's and some cardio. Probably some walk/run on the treadmill.

I thought where Rhonda originally posted about the FreeStyle Training, she said the book said it was better to do your cardio first. I will have to recheck that, but I trhought that was what she said. I made it harder for the body to build larger muscles then???

Morning,

Got2bfit, great workout!. On my next leg day, I’m going to TRY doing 3 sets, good job!

Man oh man, on yesterday ladies. I had the bomb workout. The sun was shining bright, but it was still kind of windy. I went to the track and ran a lap and walked a lap, until I did 5 miles came home and immediately started Legs & Glutes. I was pooped, This morning I could hardly get my big a$$ out of the bed. Awesome workout.

Tonight, I’m doing 2 Abs tapes, Floor Burn, ttyl

Ok, I checked. Rhonda says to do cardio AFTER the leg workout. Well, yesterday I OOPPSS...Oh well, from now on I will do it that way.
Lori

In Freestyle you drop your weights down, if you normally use 35lbs you go to 25, that way you are able to do it everyday. The highest I ever went even before freestyle was 40lbs .. now I am somewhere in 25 to 30....... Thats why you need the book if your gonna go freestyle so you know what your doing........... Rhonda

Lori, .. weights first, then cardio in Freestyle, this compromises the bodies ability to build lg muscle mass........ Rhonda

Rhonda- I have been using lower weights. I can't do this every day and lift so heavy!!!! I did order the book, Sat., but I haven't gotten it yet, probably toward the end of the week. I ordered it from slimandfit. THANK YOU for all of your help!!!
Lori

Hi Ladies,

Last night I did a 4 mile run and Leaner Legs. I remember LL being a little more difficult, but it felt great!!! Tonight will be another run and PLB/PUB combo I think. Can't decide on the weights yet. I need the book bad because I have a tendency to want to do cardio first. I just feel good and warmed up for weights then. I need to find out why weights should be first for this training.

Have a good one ladies.

Beverly

Morning everyone!

Weights first is gonna be a real change for me but I'll give it a go. I'm glad the question was asked again. Thanks, Rhonda.

Last night when I got home, I took the dogs for our usual half hour walk. I did MIC for about 40 minutes and then moved on to the PLB lower body, pyramid up premix which took about 18 minutes. I did 20, 25 and 30 lbs, trying to keep my weights a bit lighter.

I noticed something that was interesting. My feet did not like the cardio after work. They swell a little in the afternoon and I could really feel it. Also, my knees were a little tight. I was kind of worried about that but they seem to be fine today.

Tonight is KP&C (40 minutes), plus L&G floor work with ankle weights.

NO, I mean L&G floor work with ankle weights and then KP&C (40 minutes) with 10 minutes of abs tacked on.

Todays workout is still part of the Freestyle Ultimate leg workout for about 40 minutes, I did ABs first, now my cardio, 30 minutes on stationary bike............. Rhonda :7

Miss Rhonda (our Freestyle guru:D )

Should abs preceed cardio as well? Also, I noticed you have a 40 minute leg workout. Are you tweeking your rotation or is 20 minute leg work purely the minimum?

THANKS!!!!!

Candi, I don't know where that 20 minute came from, I have never done a 20 minute leg workout, even that woman Geri done 45-90 minute workouts ....my leg works are usually 45-60 minutes each, unless I am pushed for time then I might do a 25 minute workout........ and I always do my ABS first, because I tend to be tired after a hard workout and don't want to work them then. Like today I did pikes, my arms and legs would have been to tired for them after a leg workout..... I hope that helps ya :7 ......Rhonda:7

I don't know where I got that 20 minutes either. Somehow I thought I read that somewhere. Well, sounds like I need to read the book also.
That tells me you're working out at least 1.5 hours daily? Is that right?x(

Rhonda,

Could you post the website of where you ordered your book from again please.

I think the 20 minute came from the 2 upper body workouts a week that should be at least 20 minutes.

Thank you!

Beverly
