Freestyle/Lower Body April 28

Hi everyone. Yesterday I ended up doing PS Strong Legs (standing portion only), then my own upper body and ab workout. Today I plan to do PS Strong Legs (floorwork), my upper body (not sure which tape/DVD), and some cardio of some sort.

How are you all handling your upper body work? Are any of you working each muscle group more than once or twice a week?

This morning I did Circuit Max and about 10 minutes of PS Legs.
Circuit Max included upper body so I got biceps, shoulders and triceps in. I'm finding it hard to get my ab work in but tomorrow I'll do about 20 minutes.

I'll probably do PUB on Friday with L&G and just skip cardio that day.I sure don't want to lose any definition I've gained in upper body.

I have been continueing the Freestyle rotation from the Freestyle book for emphasis on the glutes, and the few exercises that Sherry told me about that I posted for you all, those butt busters the way Sherry told me to do them, I really feel..... anyway been fighting a head cold this week, but hanging in there with my exercises:p ... have a wonderful day :7 ..... Good morning,

I did the L&G standing only premix, and Firm 5 day abs this morning. Will run or walk at lunchtime. Tomorrow has got to be KPC and abs or IMAX2, abs and some type of leg workout.

Morning ladies ;o)

Yesterday, I did MIS lower body w/lite wts 20/25 lbers and The Video by Gin Miller easy workout, especially after weight work. A lot of stepping in this video.

Today, Abs, MIS upper body and if I can mustard up more energy a brief cardio, like Step Intervals. Have a great day all.

Hi Ladie,

Haven't posted in a couple of days-been very busy at work, but my workouts haven't suffered. Tuesday was bootcamp in the morning ang leaner legs and abs in the evening. I've found the cardio from ctx to work well for me following my leg wts. This morning I did kick, punch and crunch and am headed to the basement for MIS and cardio.

Rhonda help-my pants are getting tighter in the thighs, not looser. Could it be from me still using fairly heavy wts? I have always lifted heavier on the legs than Cathe-(70-75lbs in MIS), but have gone down to 50lb since starting freestyle last week. I'm not a small framed person-even at 5'4, wt between 145-150, and wear size 8 or 10. Cathe looks so very tiny and I can definitely handle much more lower body wt. than what she uses. Wish I could say the same for biceps:) My legs are much tighter and firmer feeling, and my buns are up there if you know what I mean.

Teddygirl-was it you that mentioned ww. WW program has worked for me wonderfully. It is not an overnight success, but small consistent steps that will reap the benefit and results you are looking for. Although it is sometimes quite discouraging to see very overweight people-whom you know do not work out at all, saying in the meetings I've lost 6lbs, 4lbs or whatever, when my weekly loss .4 and I worked my butt of with Cathe 6 days a week. Just keep journaling and attending the meetings, you will reach your goal:)

Diana, probably, I would say lower your weight and up your reps, depending on how much weight you want to lose. Did you order the book?
Just keep up the good work, also I really wished that you would email Sherry Gideons with some of your questions because she is a Freestyle Trainer and she would be able to help you where I am limited right now with some things I don't know yet. [email protected] ...

Good Morning Ladies......I am going to do PP today, 2 sets. I am not going to do cardio!!!! I will probably work in some abs too. I did the abs yesterday from SS. Boy, those bicycles are a killer!!!! That LB Blast on there is a killer too. It is short, 30 minutes, but very effective.

My legs are not as sore this week, nor is my lower back. I have lowered the weights like Rhonda said, and it is helping.

Diana- Thanks for the good words about WW's. I have always loved this program, but my weightloss is slow too. I have been on it for 8 weeks, and I have only lost 4 lbs. I do feel this is something I can stick with and follow for life. I have never liked it as well since they introduced Flex Points. I LOVE this new program. It makes it not scary to go and eat out!!!!

I received my Power 90X yesterday, but still no book. I hope it comes today. I am not going to start my Power 90X until I get back from Chicago. I am still going to use the FreeStyle, just with these dvd's.

Yesterday I did PS Strong Legs (floorwork & abs only), PS chest shoulders, and CTX triceps biceps.

Today the plan is to do CTX Leaner Legs (standing & abs only). I might give my upper body a rest today and I'm not sure if I'll do cardio or not, we'll see. Tomorrow is kickboxing, I should save up my energy for that!

If I only do LL, maybe I'll do some yoga or pilates for once!

Hi everybody,

I did KPC and Firm 5 day abs this morning. The KPC cardio really wiped me out today. I am finding that it is taking me a lot longer than I thought to recover from taking a week off.

Tomorrow is either ME or PUB/PLB (up only). I really like doing my abs every day and am seeing a big change already.
