FOXY FUSIONISTAS MONTH OF AUGUST

Good morning!!

Wednesday's workout was JNL's 10 minute Total Body done twice followed by 10 minutes on the rebounder.

Have a greaat day!!:)

Hello. :)

Today's workout consisted of Combat 45 + 4 minutes of plank/ab work (pushups into side planks, hover planks, walking planks, balance planks, side planks, etc.). Good stuff.

Wiggie: Well hello there pretty lady. :) We missed you, too! Great job with your workouts lately. Is Aerobox System of Sleek new? I don't think i've heard you mention that one before. I keep hoping Cathe's new workouts will ship soon. It seems like it is taking FOREVER this time around! Shinedown is a versatile rock band. They have the traditional head-pounding rock songs but they also have touching, lyrical slow songs too. I enjoy and appreciate the diversity. :)

Wendy: Feeling any better this morning?

TGIF!!!!

Today is my rest day so no workout for me this morning. I thought about NOT taking a rest day considering i've barely worked out this week, but my bum is still sore from Afterburn plus I wanted to sleep in this morning. :D So rest day it is! ;):p I've got my nephew's bday party tomorrow and as usual i'm making the cake. My nephew requested a Mickey Mouse cake, so we'll see how that goes. If I can figure it out, i'll post a picture tomorrow evening. Well, provided the cake is worth looking at, lol!! Sometimes I get in over my head. ;)

Have a great Friday, ladies!!

Happy Friday!!

We had bad weather last night so no workout for me Tonight I have a football game so no workout again. I'll workout this weekend though.

Katie: System of Sleek is new, it's 4 dvd's with around ten workouts. I'm trying to jumprope more. The same set was 59.95 at Totalfitness.com. I got mine from Amazon for 19.99. I also preordered Zip Trainer at firmdirect.com. It's been a long time since I did The Firm workouts. I started out with the firm when I first started working out consistantly. I loved the fact that they always included equipment. The equipment this time is an adjustable ball similar to the Ugi Ball. Mickey Mouse cake huh? You are quite the baker!!:D I would totally mess that up.:p Good job with Afterburn!! Yeah, I'm ready for my new Cathe's too.

Wendy: I hope you're feeling better!!:)

Happy Sunday!!;)

Saturday's workout was 10 minute total body & Fusion Lower Body(JNL). Sunday's was Xfactor Total Body, Burn(10 min) & Express(20 min), 2 workouts from System of Sleek. I am really loving that set. Hope you Ladies are having a great weekend. :)

Hi ladies.

Saturday I did a 2.5 mile run/walk (ran half, walked off). I intended it to be a 5 mile run walk (run 2 miles, walk 3 miles) but the stupid trail I intended to take was not marked and I feared getting lost. I was very annoyed. Anyway, yesterday I did the Muscle Endurance/Boot Camp bonus combo, which was freaking awesome, + 20 minutes of stretching, and this morning I did TTM (cardio only) + a short walk with the dog. My upper right abdominal is super sore and it made this morning's workout a little painful. It was like doing the whole workout with a stitch in my side. But I pushed through and survived. :)

Wendy: I hope you are feeling better! We sure miss you around here.

Wiggie: Great job with your workouts this weekend! I can always count on you to kick some fitness butt. ;) Your new workout series sounds awesome! So glad you are enjoying it. A new workout (or two) always spices up my workouts and makes me excited again to sweat. :) Plus ten workouts for $20?!?!? That's a steal!

Good morning!

Well, my right abdominal/side is still bugging me a bit, so I scrapped my cardio plans and opted for Lower Body Blast instead. I hadn't done LBB in quite awhile, and it was TOUGH! :) But I enjoyed it. I also added on the standing calve raises from Gym Styles to round out my lower body workout. I'm working from home today (well, for most of the day at least - I have to meet a co-worker this afternoon) so I had a little more time than usual to workout.

Wendy: I'm really worried about you! Please check-in soon!!!

Wiggie: How is your day going so far?

Good morning!! :)

Monday’s workout was High Reps, the premix with the upper body 1st. I think I liked it better this way, it felt tougher. I used my sandbag for lunges & squats. The ab section gets me every time.

Katie: You’ve been getting in some good workouts lately. Sorry about the pain in your side, good job pushing through it, but be sure to take a break if the pain persists. I need to start running also, I’m planning to do the Cooper River Bridge run next year. I didn’t get to go this year because that’s when we found out about DH’s illness, Hopefully he’ll be back to normal by then. I don’t have the ME/BC dvd, glad you enjoyed it. I haven’t done LBB very much, I might need to remedy that.:p It must be nice to work from home, unfortunately that’s not an option for me.:(

Wendy: I’m worried about you too. I know the last time you checked in you weren’t feeling well. I hope you’re on the mend. We really miss you!!

Hello! :) :)

Today's workout was 4DS: BC (cardio only) + KB abs + a short walk with my dog. My abs/side feel better, but now my back and chest hurt. Good grief, I feel like i'm falling apart. And I just took an extended rest week!! I don't know what is wrong with me. But, I think exercising actually helped loosen up my back. I'm going to try to stretch it more after work (and possibly during work).

Wiggie: Way to go with High Reps. I really enjoy that workout. But I don't feel the need to make it harder. ;):p That ab section is KILLER! It just never stops. It's actually my go-to ab workout when i'm short on time. I rarely get to work from home, but it's nice when it happens. :) What's the Cooper River Bridge run? A 5k?

Hello Dahling!!:p:D

Tuesday's workout was System of Sleek Box & Jump(approx 45 min) followed by Burn which is only 10 minutes, but almost 8 minutes of it is jumping without a break!

Katie: I'm glad that your side feels better & sorry that the pain moved to your chest & back.:( I hope the stretching helps. Good job on 4DS. I'm not sure what I'll do tonight, probably a weight workout. I'm thinking of going back to alternating total body weight days with cardio days. I have got to make yoga a habit, maybe you can help me with that.:) The Cooper River Bridge Run is a 10K, it is an annual event held in Charleston, SC.

Have a great day!! ;)

Hi Ladies. I'm back!:)

Did ya miss me? :p

I worked out last night after work. I did a studio group work out at home. I had to substitute/modify 3 exercises out of 10 due to lack of proper equipment and it was a great work out! The work out calls for 3 rounds of each circuit but in order to save some time since it was late, I did 2 of each. These are the exercises:

Circuit 1:
Squat with Scaption
DB split squat R
P/U with hands elevated on a small box
DB split squat L
P/U on a SB

Circuit 2:
Standing cable row (I did bent over db row)
Alternate hand slide reach
2 kettlebell pick up (I used db's b/c the only pair of bells I have were too light)
Goblet Squat
Cable Chop (I did renegade rows b/c they are tougher then doing chops with tubing which is what I would normally do)

For conditioning I did swings....8@15/15 x 2 for a total of 161.

Hi gals.

Well, my crappy workout week continues. I woke up this morning with a headache, sore throat, and sinus pressure. Needless to say I was NOT feeling up to an intense workout. Instead of skipping my workout all together, I decided to do my Yogini (Ellen Barrett) workout. I always enjoy that one.

Wendy: WELCOME BACK!! Yes, we did miss you around here. I thought you might be on vacation. Don't ever leave us again, you here? ;) Nice workout yesterday! Two rounds of each circuit was plenty, i'm sure. :) You're going to be feeling the DOMS today!

Wiggie: Great, rocking workout yesterday! 8 mintues of non-stop jumping?!? Yowza! That's intense. I may go back to alternating total body weight days with cardio days, too. At least for a few weeks. The Cooper River Bridge Run sounds like fun! You're so brave to run a 10k. I can barely survive a 5k, lol!

Sorry you are feeling cruddy, Katie. I feel your pain! It took me a week even with meds to feel better!

Wiggie, I see you used your SB the other day!;):p:D

No work out for me today. Was up early to take DS to see a naval battleship and to the aquarium. After that we had to pick up the hamster b/c my mom hamster-sat him while we were away. By the time we got back here it was time to eat and get ready for work. Gotta leave here in about 20....

I am going to attempt to fit in a work out tmrw morning before leaving for AC. Fingers crossed that it happens! Coming back some time on Sunday so I'm not going to bother bringing work out clothes since it's such a short trip. No work on Monday means I can get a good one in if I want and if I have the energy when I get home on Sunday I'll work out then too!:)

Hello. :)

Well, I am DEFINITELY feeling better and boy am I glad. :D :D :D It feels great to be back on my feet. I celebrated my recovery yesterday with Athletic Training. After TTM, the beginning step portion of AT didn't seem as hard, but man the step/legs/shoulder segment still gets me. Today I did Patrick's new workout: Kickbox Burn. It's actually lead my an instructor named Heather Corndof (I think I got that right). Heather leads the 50 minute ish kickboxing segment and then Patrick tacks on approximately 10 minutes of abs. Overall, I give this one two thumbs up! I really enjoyed the workout.

Tomorrow i'm going to Crossfit with my sister. The Crossfit gym is doing a workout in honor of the fallen Hot Shot firefighters. I'm nervous, but excited at the same time.

Wendy: Yikes, I can't imagine being sick a week WITH meds. You poor thing! I'm very glad you're better and back to raising he..I mean, being the sweet angel you are. :p;) Whew, you've been busy lately! I hope you're having a fabulous time in AC. Win some big money!!! :)

Happy(almost) Labor Day!!!

Wednesday's workout was CycleMax, Thursday's was TBTS/Lower Body Split followed he Upper body xpress premix. The lower body work was really good, the upper was ok. I really don't like the music on those. No workout Friday(football game), Saturday was a ZCUT jumprope dvd(yes it's new ) & Sunday's(today) was JNL's Upper Body Transformer. I jumped rope for all the cardio, then I jumped rope for 10 more minutes afterward. Then last but not least, I did 10 minutes of rebounding.

Katie: So glad you're feeling better!:) Great workouts by the way!;) I looked at the clip of Kickbox Burn & thought it looked good, glad you enjoyed it. How was Crossfit?

Wendy: Wow, you were really sick, I am very glad you recovered in time to go to AC! Have fun & bring home some big bucks!!:D
