For those who like dancy workouts, i.e. Step Moves

I did Step Moves this morning, although I enjoyed it, I was wondering if there is any advantages for trying to remember all these moves. Too much to remember. I followed it well, but I felt that if I was doing Athletic Step or Low Max, I would only focus on getting a good workout than following the routine....

Is there a benefit for the memory aspect?

any thoughts?

I personally, feel like now that I know all of the moves (I've done it a few times), I can focus on putting more effort into the workout. Like, the better I know it, the harder I work.

Just my thought. It's dancy, but a good workout once you go "all out" with it.

Learning those dancy moves will keep you from getting bored onthe days when the thought of another tuck jump puts you to sleep. I should bust out Rhythmic Step soon and relearn my fancy footwork.

Step Moves is just too darn confusing to me. So many moves that made me feel like I was going to fall off of my step! After those sprained ankle incidents last year, I am still a little paranoid if the moves get to crazy. I'm sticking with Lo-Max and Athletic Step!

I love dancy workouts best - there are a couple of Amy Bento's that I am so focused on learning - I forget I'm working out. :)

Yes - there is the benefit of the mind body connection associated with learning the moves. I think it is worth it - but it is also a personal choice. I hate kickboxing - I refuse to do anymore kickboxing workouts - talk about ready to drop off to sleep. Blah!! We are all different - so if you aren't feeling it - then perhaps complicated choreography isn't for you.
