How would you describe Supersets and Push and Pull? Are they basically endurance workouts do you think? Would they fit into a rotation instead of Power Hour, or are they more like the Intensity Series Pyramid workouts or some other strength training workouts? Thanks guys!

Hi Nancy! Supersets is more endurance whereas Push/Pull is more maintanence. There are so many different moves + using the stability ball made it more challenging w/lesser weight than you normally use. These are definitely more DVD friendly too. You'll be able to add on more sets & reps as you wish making it much more intense than an endurance workout. HTH & see you tonite @ Carmine's!! Kathy:D

In reviewing this post, I see Kathy that you did not mention whether you liked Supersets and Push/Pull. What do you think generally? What do others think? Thanks! :)

Hi Nancy! I LOVE Supersets much more than Push/Pull simply b/c there's only one set per muscle for 8 reps. That's why you have to lift as heavy as you can. When you get the DVDs there are so many premixes that will enable you to get a thorough workout. Unfortunately w/the tapes I would have to either stop the tape & tack on more sets & reps or write the workout down & do the workout according to the way I normally train. Can't wait to get my DVD! However, there are quite a few new exercises in both of these tapes your gonna LOVE them! You'll be using the stability ball quite a bit. Can't wait for us to go out to dinner again! Talk to you soon, Kathy:*

I prefer Supersets also. I did do Push and Pull and actually re-wound and did the tape twice. Just needed to get at least two sets of each exercise. I do like all the work on the stability ball.

I wonder why Cathe would make a workout that has to be done a second time? I believe the description said that it might seem easy at first until you start to get into it, though. Sounds like an unusual one for Cathe. Thanks for your responses.
Kathy, I'm really looking forward to doing it again too!

Hi Nancy! I think Push/Pull had to do the time factor. A lot of women wanted shorter workouts instead of 60 min. They claimed they couldn't devote 60 min. to their workout. That's why the DVD will be much better you can lengthen it tack on more sets or do certain body parts instead of doing a total body workout. I forgot what the premixes were but my gosh you'll have so much variety who cares what the original tape looks like!!! Have fun! Kathy;-)

I agree that both these workouts are fab. However, you really do need at least 2 sets to really work hard (me thinks). That is why when the DVDs come out they will be so much better. Does that mean that i don't like the tapes or think them not good. No way, they rock and are super hard. Just like the kick and punch video...the abs in that is a killer, pikes, how does she do that and talk at the same time...unnatural to me!!!
