For those who have done P90X???

I am going on my 3rd week so I should be getting to recovery week soon before I go into the 2nd rotation. Here's my question....I'm a little concerned that there's not enough cardio in the series to actually lose weight. I look more toned but haven't lost weight. Did anyone lose weight with this series without following a super strict diet the whole time?

I didn't lose weight, but that's not what I was using it for (to gain strength and definition). If you don't think there's enough cardio for you, and you're past the tough first 2 weeks, then you might want to try the "doubles" rotation (doing cardio in the morning on some days) OR substituting some Cathe cardio for P90X cardio OR adding some short cardio before the weight workouts OR adding in some extra cardio days (my "90 day" rotation actually lasted about 110 days, because I added some extra rest days, or an extra cardio day when I felt I needed one).

I did loose weight. But I needed to. I changed my way of eating to Vegan/Vegetarian when I started my 1st P90X rotation. I also ran 3 days a week so I did the Doubles rotation after the first few weeks. I got great results so be patient. Like Kaythrn said go ahead and add some more cardio if you feel like you need it...:)...Carole

I did loose weight and I increased my lean body weight (muscle). I ate clean. I did the classic rotation during the first phase and the doubles rotation during the phase 2 and the most part of the 3.Keep pushing play.

I didn't lose weight. My arms and shoulders shaped up really nicely though. I've been trying for years to get them to look better but it took P90x to do it. But my chest and back looked bigger and that just wasn't what I wanted. It has taken about 4 months to get it back to normal ( stopped all the upper body work )and I now understand what they say when they complain about " bulking " ... muscle under fat still looks like fat. I'm back to running now and lighter upper body circuits.
