Hi Cathe!!

How are you and your little family doing?? I bet little Eric is growing in leaps and bounds!!

I wanted to ask you if there are any benefits to doing 1/4 deadlift instead of straight leg deadlifts and going further down?? Is one more easily executed safely? I seem to FEEL straight leg deadlifts better. I keep my knees slightly bent of course and not locked out. Do you prefer one more than the other for any particular reason or perhaps it is wise to use both in your rotation for variety??

I really would like your professional explanation regarding the difference and benefits between the two. Thanks alot!! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

P.S. I did a search on deadlift and 1/4 deadlift for the past year and nothing came up. I did not want to pester you with a question you recently answered! : )

Hey Tammy!

How are you? I haven't seen you around for some time. Good to see you posting. When you say 1/4 dead-lift, do you mean you only go down a quarter of the way compared to further down? Just curious. Have a nice Memorial Day yourself in good ole sunny Florida!

Yep!

Hi Debbie:

Yes, this is basically what I mean, the deadlift that Cathe does in PS Legs is the 1/4 deadlift. The straight leg dead lift has you going further down, like to your ankles, at least the ones I have seen demonstrated do. Anyhow, I really would love to hear what Cathe has to say about the difference.

Have a good weekend too!! It sure is HOT here in Florida.

Tammy
